Liu Zhang (유장) aka Legend Hero Ma Chao is the brother (elder) of Liu Bei and an antagonist turned supporting hero in the Korean Tokusatsu series Legend Heroes.
History[]
The brother of Liu Bei, when the two were young Liu Zhang went off to get his younger brother some chocolate but took a while to come back. Liu Bei ended up going off to look for him, leading to the two brothers getting separated. Having lost his brother, Liu Zhang developed the mentality that the world was a jungle and that he must strive to be the strongest.
Liu Zhang entered boxing as he grew older and came close to becoming a champion, only for his opponents to sabotage him right before the championship match. Seeking revenge, after entering the Dream Battle and receiving his Hero Piece and Legend Changer, Liu Zhang used his Legend Hero powers to attack the boxers who had sabotaged him, eventually attracting the attention of Liu Bei.
The two fought each other in their Legend Hero forms, with Liu Zhang emerging triumphant. However, Liu Zhang then noticed a pattern of freckles on Liu Bei's arm and realizing he was his younger brother, causing him to run off to contemplate things. He later met up with his brother again, who didn't realize that Liu Zhang was Legend Hero Ma Chao, and spent time with him, training him in the art of boxing. However, Liu Bei eventually discovered the truth about Liu Zhang being Ma Chao and the two fought, with Liu Bei defeating his brother with the moves he had taught him. The two brothers then made up, only to be ambushed by Zhang Jue and a squad of Tao Troopers.
The two brothers fight off the Tao Troopers together, but Zhang Jue kept sending more after them. Discovering that Liu Bei had made a deal with the Angel Zhuge Liang that he would become his contract Angel if he could obtain the Ma Chao Hero Piece, Liu Zhang breaks his Legend Changer so Liu Bei can become the new Warlord of Ma Chao and makes him promise that he will come find him after he has lost his memories. With the Ma Chao Hero Piece and Zhuge Liang's help, Liu Bei fights off the Tao Troopers, causing Zhang Jue to retreat.
Liu Bei later found Liu Zhang and told him that he was his brother. After the two brothers spent time together, Liu Zhang decided to leave the city to pursue adventures elsewhere.
