Livy:I'm sorry. I--

(A cuffed Livy is escorted to the police car)
Bradford: So what? I got no feel-good sandwich for you Livy. People are dead because of your recklessness. You're lucky you're not one of them.
Livy: I-I really didn't think that anyone was going to take this seriously. I-I'm so sorry.

~ Livy attempting to apologize for her crimes, whilst being arrested only to get shut down by Bradford.

Livy is the overarching antagonist of the The Rookie episode "April Fools". She is a former intern at LAPD that ends up causing a riot in the city after her April Fools pranks cause extreme damage to the city.

She is portrayed by Kayla Maisonet.

Biography[]

After being hired as LAPD's social media intern, Livy creates several "April Fools" jokes that cause mass misunderstanding in the city. Despite Bradford's warnings, she continues to make more posts, until she is eventually fired. However, unhappy with this, she decides to post one more message before leaving; that all crime will be legal in a purge-like scenario.

Due to this, murders and mass destruction end up happening in the streets. That night, Livy became an unfortunate victim to her own vice after the clerk building, she was at fell into chaos and she is reduced to hiding. As this occurred, Livy called Bradford, begging him to help even after he remarked this was her own doing but he still agreed to help her out. When he arrived with his team, Livy hugged him tightly and only let go after he ordered her to move out but she is grabbed by a rioter. She is found and saved by Bradford and Chen.

She is arrested in the end, although she claims that she was a captive but Bradford reveals she incited the mob and knows that she was intending to file a lawsuit against LAPD. A cuffed Livy is brought to the car, apologizing for her actions and stating she didn't know things would get as bad as they did. Bradford rebuffs this apology, as innocents got hurt or killed because of her. She apologized again but Bradford coldly closes the police car door on it.
