Lizards are major antagonists in the action dark fantasy light novel, manhwa, and anime series Solo Leveling. Lizard is a term referring to a specific class of hunter who chose to abuse their power to crime in dungeons. The only known Lizards who have appeared in the series is Hwang Dongsoo and his squad, when they served as the titular main antagonists of the Dungeon & Lizards Arc.
History[]
Hwang and his squad were revealed as Lizards during the Dungeon & Lizards Arc, when they betrayed Sung Jinwoo and Yoo Jinho by trapping them inside the dungeon cave to be killed by its spider dungeon boss. However, this backfired when the squad reentered the cave only to find both hunter still alive. Jinwoo then engages in a fight against the squad as Jinho watches in shock and Jinwoo comes out victorious with all of Hwang's squad deceased as the outcome before Jinho and Jinwoo left the dungeon. However, the death of Hwang triggered the revenge of his younger brother Hwang Dongsuk.
