Locus (ロクス Rokusu), known as the Moonlight Knight, is a major antagonist in the manga series, Berserk. He is an Apostle who serves under Griffith's new generals in the Hawks. He is undefeated in jousting and was too proud to serve anyone until he swore loyalty to Griffith, who was the object of a vision he experienced.
In addition to being an Apostle, he also leads the Band of the Hawk's demon lancer division. He seems, however, to retain the most humanity among the Apostle Army. His Apostle form merges him with his horse to form a metallic centaur, and his lance is transformed into a very long double-ended spear.
Personality[]
Locus is a stoic and focused man, possessing a keen sense of logic, calculation, and self-control both on and off the battlefield, which is rare amongst Apostles. He has a large sense of honour, which fuels his need to denounce those who fail the orders of their superiors.
He is genuinely loyal to Griffith, completely devoted to serving him and fulfilling his every order. Locus is extremely driven in making all of Griffith‘s dreams and goals a reality, always fighting on his behalf and against anyone who stands in his way. He shows a large sense of faith in Griffith as a leader and a God Hand member, believing that his superior’s actions are for the betterment and prosperity of the world. Before swearing complete loyalty to Griffith, Locus never submitted himself to any single master, further indicating his loyalty to Griffith.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Lancemanship: Locus is masterful at wielding a large Lance in combat, of which is his weapon of choice. He is capable of generating such a strong force behind his attacks with a Lance to strike multiple enemies with one blow. In his released Apostle form, Locus’ Lance transforms into a much larger and sharper version, of which Locus is able to use in a much more destructive and danger manner, capable of killing ten daka in one strike.
- Leadership: Locus is a capable of competent leader, in-line with his self-controlled nature, able to efficiently lead his subordinates with a calm nature.
- Enhanced Speed and Agility: In his released Apostle form, after having merged himself with his war horse Locus gained the speed of the horse for himself, capable of moving and very high speeds whilst being able to efficiently wield his transformed Lance and body.
Trivia[]
- Locus is currently the only Apostle that accompanies Griffith during formal or high social occasions.
