Lodge of Sorceresses is a major organization in the Witcher franchise.
It is a secret transnational organization of sorceresses founded by Philippa Eilhart due to the assassination of Thanned. This organization aims to replace the fallen Chapter and the Supreme Council of Wizards and kill most of the male rulers in order to take over most of the northern continent. This organization is the most influential on the entire northern continent due to the majority of its members being advisors to the kings of some countries.
Description[]
The lodge of sorceresses was founded after the group of the most talented wizards, the so-called Chapter and Supreme Council of Wizards, was dissolved during the riots on Thanned. The Lodge aims to replace the decayed Chapter and the Supreme Council of Wizards in many aspects, such as ending the war between Nilfgaard and the Northern Kingdoms or stabilizing the society of magicians and wizards.
Despite the peaceful intentions of the Lodge of Sorceresses, the leaders have a desire for power over all northern countries so that magic can take over the entire North. In order for the Lodge to want the entire magical society to take over the entire continent, the members of the Lodge researched the geneology of the older blood from Lara Dorren, which gives the carriers unlimited control over the power to subsequent generations. The lodge tried to turn Ciri, who is a carrier of older blood, into the queen of the entire northern continent by marrying the prince of Kovir, Tankred Thyssen.
