Loki is a major antagonist in Season 13 of the CW horror series Supernatural.
He is the Norse trickster god who several thousands of years ago was rescued and befriended by the archangel Gabriel. He then let him borrow his identity. When his father Odin died, which he blamed Gabriel for, he had his sons Narfi, Fenrir, and Sleipnir sell Gabriel to the demon Asmodeus.
He is portrayed by Richard Speight Jr. who also played Gabriel in the same series (due to Gabriel using Loki's identity).
Biography[]
Many thousands years ago Loki was imprisoned in a cave by his father Odin where there was a snake whose venom dripped into Loki’s eyes. The archangel Gabriel later released him from the cave. After that they became friends, and after the First Heavenly Civil War Gabriel asked Loki for help hiding him for his family. Loki agreed to help Gabriel to hide and gave Gabriel permission to pretend to be him. The only condition was that Gabriel should avoid his own family.
After Gabriel faked his death he went to Loki and his children Narfi, Fenrir, and Sleipnir and asked for help to hide him. Loki and his children then betrayed Gabriel because Loki blamed him for his father Odin’s death. They sold him to the demon Asmodeus. After Gabriel escaped Loki and his sons went to Central City, Colorado. Where he went into hiding in Hotel Ophidian where he used some magic to make it better. Then his son Sleipnir comes to him after the death of Fenrir and Narfi by the hand of Gabriel. Then a projection of Loki was confronted by Dean Winchester. He then stated he wanted revenge against Gabriel because he blamed him for his father Odin’s death. When Dean tries to attack Loki with a sword it goes right through him. The real Loki then confronts Gabriel. The projection then punches Dean three times. When Sam comes into the room and tries to shoot him, he dissolves the projection. Loki then uses his telekinetic powers to knock Gabriel to the floor and beat him. He then grabs Gabriel by the neck and throws him. Gabriel then gets the sword that can kill Loki and stabs him, killing him.
Trivia[]
- Loki being Odin’s son is inaccurate to Norse mythology. It is instead borrowed from Marvel Comics.
