Loki Laufeyson is one of the main antagonists of the 2010 Marvel Animated Universe. Specifically as one of the four main antagonists of Avengers Assemble (alongside Red Skull ,Thanos and Ultron) as well as a supporting antagonist of Hulk and the agents of S.M.A.S.H and Ultimate Spider-Man. He is the envious adopted brother and archenemy of Thor Odinson and the Avengers. He is also the leader of the frost giant army.

He was voiced by Troy Baker who also played Shinnok in the NetherRealm Studios Mortal Kombat Era.

Biography

At some point, Odin adopts Loki from the frost giants and raises him with Thor. Together, the two asgardians would grow up as brothers, however, when Thor became worthy of Mjolnir and was more favoured by Odin, Loki became very petty and Jealous and wanted the throne of Asgard for himself. At another point prior to Assemble, Loki would meet up with the Avengers and invade them with the Chitauri empire and eventually get defeated.

In the episode, Doomstroyer, Thor recruits Loki into helping the Avengers against the Destroyer and Doctor Doom, He travels with Thor, Captain America and Falcon to the underworld to face Doom, the Midgard Serpent and the rock trolls. To the Avengers surprise, it is revealed that Loki wanted them to go to the underworld so that he can control the Midgard Serpent and much to his peril once Captain America Dethrones Doctor Doom and kills the Beast, he attempts to take over the Destroyer, only for Hulk And Iron Man to throw it into outer space and leaving Loki at the mercy of the Rock trolls.

He later reappears in the episode, Field Trip, tricking Thor and turning him into a toad and kidnapping Spider-Man and his team. It is then revealed that he had everyone in Asgard imprisoned in ice and even tries to kill Odin while he is recharging his power in the Odinsleep. However to Loki's disdain, the team of heroes escape, recieve enchanted weapons from Dwarf and gets tricked into turning Thor back into his normal form by Spidey which causes him to retreat for his life.
