Lonato Gildas Gaspard is a character from the Fire Emblem franchise. He is a minor antagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, being a minor antagonist in all routes during White Clouds, and a supporting character in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, being a minor antagonist on the Azure Gleam route and a supporting protagonist on the Scarlet Blaze route.
He is the adoptive father of Ashe Ubert, who lost his son, Christophe, due to the Church executing him for treason. Lonato has never forgiven the Church, still waiting for his chance at revenge.
He was voiced by Kazuhiro Anzai is Japanese and Raymond K. Essel is English.
Personality[]
Lonato is known to be very kind, treating all his subjects very well. He never mistreated his adoptive son Ashe and seems to respect most people, even his opponents. However, he loathes the Church, due to them executing his son. When he revolts against the Church, he show regret of fighting Ashe or Dimitri, but shows enjoyment of fighting the Church. He also is very charismatic, convincing the townsfolk to join him in his revolt.
Biography[]
When Lonato was young, he served King Lambert's older brother Rufus. He became well loved by all and got a lot of reward, becoming the Lord of Gaspard. Lonato eventually met Ashe and raised him alongside his son Christophe. However, Christophe was accused of being a part of the nobles who caused the Tragedy of Duscur. He was executed, and Lonato began to plan for revenge.
While Lonato was openly hostile with the Church, he did not do anything drastic until the year 1180, when he started his rebellion. He allied with the Western Church and with the help of his subjects, managed to defeat the Church's forces when they tried to stop the rebellion. Byleth, Catherine and whatever class Byleth is teaching fight and kill Lonato. An assassination plot for Rhea is found after Lonato's death.
