Long is the mysterious immortal being who served as the overarching antagonist of Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger. He was the one secretly responsible for the foundation of the Rinjuken Akugata, as it was inspired by his Genjuken style, and Rio's turn to evil.
He is played by Naoki Kawano.
Biography[]
Past[]
In actually a massive golden hydra known as the Mugenryu, Long has been the source of every mythological concept of a dragon all over the world. Since he is immortal, Long was bored and saw conflict and senseless destruction as a means of enjoyment. As a result, Long manipulated Land Fist Demon Maku him into creating the Rinjuken style to make him into his personal play thing, the Destroyer. However, when the Kensei sealed Maku and his fellow Kenma away, Long was forced to go into hiding until another ideal pawn surfaced to take Maku's place.
Assuming the guise of a human years before the series, Long found Rio and murdered his family to set him on the path he choose for him. To ensure nothing ruined his plans, Long mortally wounded Dan before decimating the village where Jan was born to insure no interference from any of Dan's kin. Thinking that Jan died in his mother's attempt to get him away from harm, Long founded Genjuken and used his Blood-Oath Ceremony to convert followers.
Gekiranger[]
In 2007, the Rinjuken style is revived by Rio in his search for greater power but Long originally hides behind the scenes whilst overseeing Rio's training, with only Mele knowing about his presence in the Confrontation Beast Hall. He is first seen when he comforts her to an extent by revealing to her that Rio will obtain Dorinki and defeat Maku, setting up the events for it. Furthermore, Long evoks Gou's transformations into the werewolf until Bae's interference stops that. Long is further vexed to learn that Rio is making his way to Jugenkyo, managing to have Rio turn back in the guises of Jan, Gou, and Sha-Fu; revealing the existence of the SoZyuTo that Rio needs to enter the village freely. Long also uses the same illusory power to force Mele to take the SoZyuTo from Ken while he's defenceless. Once Rio and Mele make the run for the Jugenkyo, Long distracts Maku long enough for Rio to reach the village.
When the Kenma have served their purpose, Long kills Rageku in his fighting form as she recognizes him to prevent her from revealing his real plans before he offers his services to Rio as he converted him and Mele into Genjuken fighters. However, seeing Jan as a hindrance his plans, Long attempts to kill him behind Rio's back but, ironically, Jan manages to awaken Rio as the Destroyer; much to Long's praise. However, Mele's interference ruins it with Long's treachery and true identity revealed as a result before beating Rio to find out why he didn't completely become the Destroyer. Finding that Mele is the cause, Long takes hostage so Rio can resume his part in his master plan. Once his plan is completely shattered, Long decides to kill them all. Though seemingly killed by SaiDai GekiRinTohja, Long is able to recreate himself through his follower Sanyo, an extension of his immortality. Consuming Sanyo as he assumes his true form, with a newfound interest in Juuken, Long decides to personally destroy the world himself. Killing Mele and surviving Rio's suicide attack, Long overpowers Gou, Ken and the Kensei until the three primary Gekirangers battle him themselves. Having mastered the Rinjuken prior, the Gekirangers use the Doukugan Ringi to trap Long with Jan safeguarding the small golden orb that Long has become as he and the others resolve to pass on their knowledge to the next generation so that Long would remain trapped.
Go-onger vs. Gekiranger[]
A year later, Meka steals the sealed Long from Jan and converted into into a Doukugan Soul to power up the Banki Beast Nunchuck Banki. However, during the fight, the seal cracks as Long manifests before turning the Banki Beast into Long Banki as he needs to kill the Gekirangers to become completely free. However, Long is ultimately sealed away again after SaiDaiGekiRinTohja and Engine-O G12 destroy Long Banki.
Super Hero Taisen[]
Long is freed again in as a member of Dai-Zangyack and, when Dai-Shocker and Dai-Zangyack merge to form the Shocker-Zangyack Alliance, he is seen in many scenes of the war fighting many Riders and Sentai; specificly Big One, AbareRed, Riderman, DynaBlue, DynaYellow, TimePink, HurricaneBlue, GekiViolet, and Gun Den-O. What ultimately happens to him is unclear but he was likely sealed away again.
Super Hero Taisen Z[]
Long is part of an Army of Resurrected (mostly Super Sentai) monsters led by Strategist Reider after the revival of Madou Demon King Psycho. They proceed to attack the gathering of Kamen Riders and Super Sentai, giving them a hard time. The heroes of recent years are in a pinch until the arrival of a force of Sentai and Rider reinforcements led by Akarenger and Kamen Rider Ichigo. The combined forces of superheroes are able to turn the tide against the Madou army before lining up and using their various finisher attacks to destroy the revived monsters. It is presumed that Long was sealed once again and his orb is back in Jan's possession.
Personality[]
On the surface, Long appeared to be an evil but otherwise amiable being who only wanted to see the Gekijuken fighting style exterminated. In actuality however, he is a deeply sadistic and cruel being willing to do anything necessary to cure his boredom including genocide. He is also extremely pretentious and very vain, believing himself to be superior to any of the Rinjuken or Gekijuken practitioners just because they summon animals whereas he is the "king" of animals and has a habit of habitual boasting. Due to his immortality though, he believes himself completely invincible and gives his enemies all the chances they need to finally bring him down. Despite this, he can show genuine worry as seen during his internal monologue whilst the three main Gekirangers began to overwhelm him.

Human Form[]
- Immortality: Long is completely immortal and unable to be killed by anything. Even if he explodes, he can regenerate from a puddle of golden slime.
- Regeneration: Long can regenerate from any injury at will.
- Teleportation: Long can teleport to any location at will in bright flashes of orange flame-like energy.
- Energy Streakportation: When revealing himself to the Gekirangers, Long dodged a slash from Super GekiRed by moving around in golden energy streaks.
- Gengi Usage: As the creator of Gengi, Long is its ultimate master and can use it in many ways.
- Levitation: Long can channel his Genki through his body to fly into the air.
- Enlargement: Long enlarged Sojo and Dorou by channelling Gengi into his hands and throwing it into them.
- Mugenryu Transformation: Long is able to turn into his true form by making golden energy in the shape of his heads erupt from his chest and fly into the distance.
- Tornado Strike: Long's strongest attack where he can channel blue energy into his face and then fire forth a powerful blue-gold energy tornado. This was strong enough to pick up and throw away all five Gekirangers and Go-Ongers, instantly de-morphing them.
- Fireball Spit: Long can spew orange fireballs from his mouth that caused massive explosions and took down all five Gekirangers and Go-Ongers.
Battle Form[]
- Gengi Usage: Long retained his ability to use Gengi but it was even greater in this form.
- Cursed Smoke Emission: Long could create a golden cloud of Genki, using it to subjugate the target to his will. This was used on Gou, forcing him to resume his werewolf form.
- Turn Phantom-Storage: Long used this to convert Rio and Mele's Ki into Genki during the Blood-Oath Ceremony.
- All Soul Concentration: Long could use this to turn beings into Genshi as seen when he turned Dan into Suugu.
- Mystic Body Overpowering Heavenly Change: A technique that allowed Long to grow giant at will.
- Levitation: Like in his human form, Long can channel his Genki through his body to fly into the air.
- Face Lightning Blast: Long is able to fire a massive lightning of golden energy from the symbol on his face strong enough to halt SaiDaiGekiRinTouja.
- Lightning Blasts: After taking flight, Long can fire devastating sprays of golden lightning from his hands. These caused massive explosions and instantly defeated all five Gekirangers.
- Lightning Torture: Alternative, Long can spray the golden lightning to torture his enemies as seen with Gou and Ken during his final battle.
- Hand to Hand Combat: Long is a skilled fighter, being able to overwhelm both Gou and Ken with ease during his final battle despite both fighting him both at once.
- Super Leaps: Long is able to jump several dozen feet with a single bound as seen when he jumped across the battlefield and landed on Gou and Ken.
- Tornado Spin: Long can spin at incredible speeds, generating large amounts of dust and throwing the Seven Kensei into the air.
- Spin Attack: When the Kensei came back down, Long was able to batter them all away by spinning around similarly to Sojo.
