Markus "Mark" Sebastian Grayson, also known as Long Hair Mark, is a supporting antagonist in the Image Comics comic series Invincible, and its animated adaptation of the same name.

He was one of the Alternate Mark Graysons that started off as a hero, but became evil and conquered his Earth. He was later found by Angstrom Levy, and agreed to help him destroy the reputation of his world’s Invincible.

He is voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other Alternate Mark Graysons, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope and Danny Cho in Beef.

Appearance[]

Same build as most of the evil Invincibles, but similar to the fourth Invincible, he has no mask, but specs, but he has long hair. He has fingerless gloves, and no sleeves to his suit. His outfit also has what resembles a turtleneck and black outlines.

Personality[]

This dimensional variant embraced the role of a supervillain, readily participating in the Invincible War with a disturbing lack of concern for the widespread destruction and loss of life he inflicted. In the comics, he also acted arrogantly towards Sport Mark.

Biography[]

Comics[]

Long Hair Mark encountered Tech Jacket on the first day, who immediately defended himself with a laser beam. Long Hair Mark, initially confused as Tech Jacket didn't exist in his home dimension, began to attack him while presumably calling the Sport Invincible for back-up.

After exchanging blows, Long Hair Mark decides to take the battle down to Earth, crushing Tech Jacket and dealing devastating damage to his armor.

He alongside Sport Mark were killed by Tech Jacket after he overloaded his suit.

TV Series[]

Long Hair Mark arrived in the mainstream universe through Angstrom's portal alongside the other variants, and immediately proceeded to destroy everything in sight.

At one point he tackles Demi-God into a building and crushes an unnamed hero with a car. Later, Long Hair Mark fights against Bug-Eye, Throwbolt, and Oliver. In their fight, Long Hair Mark destroys a very large area despite being outnumbered and nearly defeated Bug-Eye before being defeated himself. Put in a fight judging by his broken fingers and torn suit. He was later turned into a Reanimen.

Trivia[]

  • This is the 15th evil Invincible to appear in the series.
  • In the comics, he fought Tech Jacket, getting overpowered by him before another variant of Invincible joins in and takes him down. He even argues that the reason why he was struggling in his fight is because he doesn't have a Tech Jacket in his universe to which the other variant though acknowledges that Tech Jacket doesn't exist in his universe, mentions he has slaughtered many Geldarians before. Tech Jacket then uses the self-destruct of his suit which kills both variants though Zach barely survives. But in the show, he never encountered Tech Jacket and was instead killed by the combined efforts of Kid Omni-Man, Throwbolt and Bug-Eye.
  • In some ways, Prisoner Mark can be considered the opposite of Long Hair Mark, as he is completely bald while Long Hair Mark has the longest hair.
