~ Long John Silver when spying on the cliffs. |
Long John Silver is one of the two main antagonists (the other being Pew who is his boss in this version) of the animated series, The Legends of Treasure Island, which is loosely based on the 1883 book Treasure Island by the late Robert Louis Stevenson. He was based on the character of the same name from the book.
He was voiced by Richard E. Grant in Season 1 and Rob Bryndon in Season 2.
Biography[]
???
Appearance[]
Based on Long John Silver from the original novel, he is an anthropomorphic red fox with a peg leg where his left leg used to be. In Season 1, he wore a blue coat with white shirt, yellow vest, green neck scarf, red belt sash, pink pants, a light blue captain's hat with some gold rims, and a pink head banana. In Season 2, either due to being in Hell or some point after, his attire now consisted of a dark blue coat with matching captain hat, a white neck scarf, yellow vest, and blue sash with matching pants.
Personality[]
Similar to his original counterpart, Silver is arrogant, cocky, pompous, egocentric, manipulative, deceitful, greedy, and cunning, as he is bent on finding the lost treasure of Captain Flint, even exerting a level of brutality and deception towards his crew-mates. However, he is more villainous than his book counterpart as he is seen in each episode antagonizing the main cast. He also has a dislike for Pew, who is his boss in this version.
