Lord Bottoms was a minor villain in the movie Braveheart. Upon learning that King Edward had instituted Prima Nocte in Scotland, Bottoms moved north to take advantage of this new policy.
Bottoms did not have to wait long to take advantage of this new policy and was able to force a newly married local woman into his bed on the night of her marriage to local villager Morrison.
Bottoms met his end when Scottish forces led by William Wallace captured the fort he was in. Included in Wallace's forces was Morrison, who claimed the "right of a husband" and quickly dispatched the English Lord.
