Biography[]
Once King Neptune's advisor, Fathom plotted to overthrow him by controlling the mighty Strake with the Dark Emerald. However, thanks to the Neptune combining his forces with Captain Colossus, Fathom was sealed in the Torguta Triangle.
Later, he was inadvertently set free by Captain Hook, who got the Jolly Roger's anchor out of rocks it got caught on. After Jake assembles a league of captains, (which includes Hook and Beatrice LeBeak) Fathom's hold on Strake is broken and he and his squid henchman Sinker are imprisoned and frightened by Strake.
In "The Legion of Pirate Villains", Fathom is once again looking for the Dark Emerald when Hook falls on him and triggers a trap set by the Grim Buccaneer that catches Hook instead. As it turns out Grim had planned to recruit Fathom into his titular legion of bad guys (along with ShiverJack and Doctor Undergear) and he was considered by the others to be an ideal member.
