Lord Martanos, also called Fallen Zakarum Paladin, is an overarching antagonist of Diablo Immortal video game.
He was a captain of Zakarum Inquisition who attacked Mount Zavain with his soldiers to slay the Veradani monks. Because of his demonic corruption, after his death he started to haunt Mount Zavain and kill wanderers.
Biography[]
Martanos was once a captain of Zakarum Inquisition. He was one of the most loyal soldiers of Rakkis, however, because of his fanaticism, he fell under Mephisto's influence and became a demon.
Martanos led an attack on Mount Zavain to slay all Veradani monks on it, considering them pagans. Martanos fought with Patriarch Sladyan and was imprisoned on a mountain top, while Sladyan fled. When the monk released Ancient Nightmare, Martanos died. His body was later recovered and buried on a cementery on Mount Zavain.
Years later, in 1270, Martanos rised from the dead, but was killed by The Shard-Seeker.
