~ L.R.H. summoning his guards to attack SpongeBob and his friends. |
Lord Royal Highness, also known as L.R.H., is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Plankton) of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode ”Atlantis SquarePantis”.
He is the King/Emperor of Atlantis who would try and kill the main cast after Patrick popped the world's oldest living bubble.
He was voiced by the late singer David Bowie in the episode and by Nolan North in the video game adaptation SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis.
Appearance[]
Lord Royal Highness is a alien with blue skin, big red lips, a nose that's similar to SpongeBob's, one green eye, and one blue eye, which is a reference to a misconception about David Bowie having one green eye and one blue eye, when in reality, he suffered from anisocoria. Additionally, his brain is visible and he has orange hair similar to David Bowie in real life during the mid-'70s and the mid-late '90s.
Biography[]
Atlantis SquarePantis[]
He first appears when SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy arrive at Atlantis. He gives them a tour of the place, with him showing them the money vault, the science lab, and the hall of arts. In the money vault money, gold, and prizes objects are found and stashed Mr. Krabs' pockets. In the science lab Sandy enjoys the devices, a device that turns any household object into ice cream, a interactive germ-fighting video game, and makes a automatic eating device. In the hall of arts Squidward journeys through paintings, gets modeled by painters, and makes his own painting.
However things take a turn when he leaves SpongeBob and Patrick with the world's oldest living bubble, as the flash of Patrick's camera pops it when Patrick takes a picture of him and SpongeBob with the bubble. When Patrick reveals their mistake, L.R.H. at first doesn't believe it and thinks that it's just dark humor. After SpongeBob confirms that it isn't a joke, L.R.H. reveals that the bubble they popped was just a prop for tourists. However, when he shows the real bubble, Patrick takes a picture with his camera, which causes it to pop. L.R.H. gets angry and summons the Atlantean Royal Guards to seize the gang. Sandy fights off the guards by using Patrick like a boomerang, SpongeBob as a shield, Mr. Krabs as a claw, and Squidward as a shotgun. They almost escaped, however, they end up running into Plankton, who took a tank from the weapons vault.
Plankton lets out a speech about his victory with the Atlantean arsenal, and then fires the tank to try and kill SpongeBob, the gang, and the guards, however, he fails because the ammo was actually strawberry ice cream. He jumps out of the tank and kicks it out of frustration, injuring himself.
L.R.H. grabs Plankton and puts him in a jar so that he can be used as a replacement for the recently popped bubble. Tourists start taking pictures and Plankton yells "Hey! Can't you read?! No flash photography", however, they continue to take pictures anyway.
Finally, L.R.H. loads SpongeBob and his friends back into the bus that they used to get to Atlantis and removes the amulet. He gives it to one of his guards and orders him to dispose of it to make sure that their won't be anymore "visitors like these". The guard then proceeds to throw the amulet in a dumpster.
