Biography[]
Background[]
Tion, born into the noble House of Tion, held the title of Lord. After joining the Imperial Navy, he achieved the rank of Commodore and formed a connection with Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. Tion passionately embraced Tarkin's political ideas, including the principles outlined in the Tarkin Doctrine.
Subjugation of Ralltiir[]
Some time before the Battle of Yavin, Tion led the siege of the planet Ralltiir. As there were supporters of the Rebel Alliance among the High Council of Ralltiir, he carried out a purge operation. In this action, he had all members of the Council killed and dismantled it as a political entity. Additionally, Tion and his army planned to establish a surveillance system in the planet's administration center, capable of eavesdropping on all unshielded communications. When Princess Leia Organa traveled to Ralltiir on a diplomatic mission in 0 BBY to deliver medical supplies to the planet's inhabitants, she was shocked by Tion's methods and his purge operation.
Death[]
Later, Tion was invited to Alderaan by Leia and her adoptive father, Bail Organa. During the meeting and a shared meal, Tion accidentally learned that his hosts were aware of the Empire's secret plans and the existence of the Death Star. An argument ensued, during which Lord Tion was killed by his own blaster in a scuffle with Princess Leia. Tion's body was hidden by Bail Organa.
