The Lord of the Lash is a minor antagonist of the Rankin-Bass animated film Return of the King, based on the book of the same name by John Tolkien.
Appearance[]
The Lord of the Lash is a small orc that resembles a lizard with a small nose and dons a suit of armor.
Personality[]
The Lord of the Lash is a mean-spirited fellow who does not tolerate any cronies' unwillingness to go to war no matter what their protests were.
Powers and Skills[]
The Lord of the Lash's primary weapon of choice is a whip that he cracks at his minions as they march.
Biography[]
As Sam and Frodo are sneaking through Mordor, they witness a group of orcs marching as the Lord of the Lash whips away at them despite that they did not want to go to war on their day-length march as they are being prepared for Sauron's war. It also does not take long for the Lord of the Lash to spot the disguised hobbits and whip them into his platoon. After a while of whipping his men, he crosses paths with a group of human soldiers whose leader pushes the Lord of the Lash to the ground.
After Sam instigates a fight between the two platoons, he and Frodo sneak off. It's unknown if he survived that or the destruction of Mordor afterward.
