Lori-Ann Dufoy is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Careless". Lori-Ann is an abusive foster parent who murders her foster son, Jamie Semple.
She was portrayed by Malinda Williams.
Biography[]
Lori-Ann long brutalized he children in her care, and Social Services constantly overlooked the reports against her. Her husband Sam was too afraid of her to stand up against her and save the kids, so he instead covered for her. Lori-Ann once slashed a girl named Megan with a cheese grater, and to silence her reports, she was psychiatrically committed.
The Dufoys' lies fell through once Lori-Ann smothered Jamie, so they pretended he was still alive and took him to their church for an "exorcism". Jamie was them taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. once the Dufoys' cover-ups were unraveling, Lori-Ann tried to place the blame on Sam, and he briefly did falsely confess. But the detectives saw through the lies and convinced Sam to turn on Lori-Ann. She hit him and insulted him, but it didn't stop her and Sam's arrests. Lori-Ann was imprisoned for her crimes.

- The death of Jamie Semple during an exorcism is inspired by the death of Terrance Correll.
