Biography[]
The existence of Loug Mekia is said to be peculiar among the Lougsean forces, as they have rare appearances before mankind. However, knowledge is not that low for there to be anyone to be unaware. They were always there during key points of the great war, such as being the catalysts and triggering chaos among the races of man and beast. It is unknown what the true nature of these beasts was. They are said to be nightmarish and twisted amalgamations of man and beast.
The Lougsean forces are said to be more heartless than the general humans or beasts. However, they have been able to display some form of emotion. This ranged from the seemingly humanoid Four Deities to the Loug Mez. But not even the Loug Mekia can express pain. Similarly to a faceless machine that cannot flinch, the Divine Beast appears before the larger threats that oppose Loug Zeus, It seems that Loug Mekia are connected to the God of Ruin. The term "Divine Beast" became one of Loug Mekia's titles in a modern-day Granzelia. It has been said that Divine Beasts were creations of the gods. Loug Mekia's main role was commander of the other followers and communicating orders from the gods to them. That being said, their roles seem to depend on the god.
As most of them were Loug Zeus's creations, they were made to either to deliver destruction or to keep forces organized. One of the stories passed down was that of goddess Meluc, who existed before Loug Zeus ruled with an iron fist. She was rather negligent as she seemingly forgot her duties in the lower world and created a beast to take up these responsibilities. The Divine Beast followed Meluc's commands to fulfill these duties. The power of this beast was great enough to be mistaken as a god. Angered, Meluc ordered the Divine Beast to treat mankind poorly in an attempt to have them continue their worship of her. The slaughter of innocents led to people escaping to temples they've built to honor Meluc. She had given protection to those who came to the shrines that became neglected and dusty. They were given refuge as she had commanded the monster causing mayhem.
Returning to the goddess's sanctuaries, the commotion from this Divine Beast was dissipated as if Meluc defeated it. As the story was being passed down, there was only one creature accurately fitting the mere description of Loug Mekia, "a silhouette of what appeared to be half-beast and half-man". Scarce information resulted in the possibility of the creature not being Loug Mekia due to rumors of another creature that also matched the description then-recently. This error led to few members from Loug Zeus's army knowing of Loug Mekia's existence.
