~ Chaycon menacing Matt Simmons and Luke Alvez |
Louis Chaycon is the main antagonist of the Criminal Minds episode "Ghost". He is an Italian mafia hitman and trafficker, as well as the leader of a group of killers hellbent on drawing out FBI agents Matthew Simmons and Luke Alvez so he can kill them.
He was portrayed by Vincent Ventresca.
Biography[]
Chaycon was a contract killer for the Sarnicola mafia family, who would escape to Italy after each of his major operations to escape justice and bounties from rivals. Simmons tracked Chaycon in Italy with the International Response Team, while Alvez did so in the U.S. with the Fugitive Task Force. Simmons once captured Chaycon with Italian law enforcements, but Chaycon escaped, at the cost of two wounded officers and a murdered civilian. During ine of his returns to the States, Alvez arrested him while he hid sith his brother Robert. He and Bobby were in general population, where members of the rival Los Reyes gang ambushed them. Chaycin was beaten and left with permanent facial scars, but Bobby, being falsely fingered as an informant, was beaten to desth before his tongue was torn out. Chaycon was both devastated and furious, so once he escaped again, he aligned with the Rolling Devils outlaw bikers and planned his sworn revenge against Simmons and Alvez, believing they got Bobby killed by setting the brothers up in prison.
Previous serial killer Phillip Dowd was hunted by the FBI, so Chaycon ordered several Rolling Devils members to shoot and kill civilians across the city where Dowd opersted, knowing the agents would return. Four people were murdered, two narrowly surviving. When Chaycon's gang sent a false tip about a getaway vehicle, they cornered the agents withba van and two motorcycles. Stunning Simmons, Alvez, and Agent Tara Lewis with a mace grenade, Simmons and Alvez were kidnapped and taken to a Rolling Devils warehouse, where they were coinciding Chaycon's revenge with a recent trafficking arrangement. Chaycon woke the agents up, beating them, putting a cigarette out on Simmons' chest, and demanding to know if they remembered him. He explained his motives and his intentions for the gang go kill the two, but the agents refused to show any fear. They did, however, make Chaycon turn on Fleabag, one of the bikers, with a lie that he got Bobby to be an informant. Chaycon shot Fleabag, which bought the agents time to pick the chains they were cuffed with using a screw in the plank they were against.
When they broke free, fistfights and gunfire ensued, resulting in half the men being shot and the other half knocked unconscious for later arrest. Chaycon was shot by Simmons to save Alvez, the agents being saved by their team arriving on convenient timing with the remaining thugs.
Trivia[]
- Chaycon is primarily inspired by Adrian "Redz" Thomas, the primary killer of Mary-Ann Lenegahn and primary torturer of her friend, whose name was never released. Thomas was knifed and nearly murdered in an attack he didn't report, so he and five accomplices gang-raped and tortured the girls under the assumption they were accomplices. Mary-Ann died from the extent of the violence, but her friend lived.
