Colonel Louise James is a hawkish officer of the GDI and one of the main antagonists of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight (along with Gideon).
She is portrayed by Iona Morris.

Past[]
Louise James was the daughter of a decorated soldier who fought in the First Tiberium War against the Brotherhood of Nod and followed her parent in joining the military and going into combat. In 2047, Louise had settled down, only to lose her family to the Scrin after they began their invasion. Louise blames Kane and the Brotherhood for her family's deaths, as they deliberately provoked the aliens into invading the Earth so they could obtain their technology, and began seeking to completely destroy them.
Ascension War[]
When the GDI entered into an alliance with Kane and the Brotherhood in 2062 to work together to contain the spread of Tiberium, James, resentful towards Kane for her family's deaths, secretly plotted to undermine the alliance and kill Kane when she got the chance. In pursuit of this, James made a secret deal with Gideon, leader of the renegade Nod Separatists that had splintered off, to help her guarantee Kane's death.
Commander Parker served on GST Tzadik under Colonel James. After performing three missions for her Parker was approached by Kane and given the choice to side with him. Siding with James opens up the GDI campaign, whereas Kane's opens the Nod campaign. The story of Col. James remains generally the same between the campaigns, with a few minor differences. In the Nod campaign, James and the GDI forces serve as a frequent enemy to the player, alongside the Nod separatists.
James attempted to convince General Secretary Evelyn Rios and General Wesley Riggs that the Brotherhood of Nod was planning on using the TCN to bring back the Scrin, but the two dismissed her paranoid theories. Deeming them unfit for duty for refusing to listen to her concern, Col. James enacts martial law and performs a coup against the GDI leadership. She directs her fleet to head for New Adana in order to capture both Rios and Riggs but her coup fails and she is captured by a GDI Spec Ops squad led by General Riggs. Before she can be put to trial however, she manages to escape alongside the crew of the Tzadik, who were secretly released by Agent Duquette and sent to battle Kane at the Scrin Tower.
Col. James embarks on her own mission to assassinate Kane and snipes him (or the player disguised as him in the Nod campaign) during his speech at Threshold 19, but could not confirm the kill as a battle at the Scrin Tower commences for control of the TCN.
GDI campaign Ending[]
As Commander Parker confronts Kane, Kane reveals that Colonel James intentionally lied to him about the true cause of the death of his wife, that friendly fire had killed Lilly but that James had lied to the Commander that Nod had killed her so his anger would be focused at them. James then appears and shoots Kane before turning and shooting the Commander to ensure that he won't activate the Portal with his optical implant. However, Kane then appears again, unscathed from being shot, and wrestles her gun away before killing her.
Nod campaign Ending[]
Inside the Scrin Tower, James mistakes Parker for Kane and fatally shoots him after he doesn't to anything to help her stop the portal. Before she can finish him off, however, Kane appears and strangles her to death.
