Luann Van Houten is the main antagonist of The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes" in a parody of The Screaming Woman by Ray Bradbury, first story told by the Illustrated Man.
Like her modern counterpart, she's voiced by Maggie Roswell.
Biography[]
When Bart fails to ask every person about a buried woman screaming, he ends up at the Van Houten house. Upon hearing that this was serious, Luann asked Bart to come in to discuss his story, but she gives him with too many amounts of a glass of milk. After enough drinking, Luann sends Bart to Milhouse's room to have rest, she subsequently locks the door. However, Bart isn't done yet. He wakes up by stabbing himself with a sugar pixie stick and escaping through a window.
Afterward, it was revealed that the screaming woman was in fact Kirk Van Houten, who was being buried alive, she got arrested as she tells him how purchased hair dye from Ms. Hoover. Then Chief Wiggum says that in 1950s, murder is much more socially acceptable than divorce. He releases the handcuffs to allow Luann to set free, and she walks away in her defeat and anger. Kirk asks her why she's so mad at him.
