Lucas Cabrera is a major antagonist in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
He was the Vice President of the Philippines, but later became the President after he unlawfully stole Pres. Oscar Hidalgo’s position by terrorizing the latter’s family. He also conspired with Renato Hipolito in their corruption by incriminating Cardo Dalisay and his friends as terrorists.
He is played by Edu Manzano.
Biography[]
He was elected as the Vice President of the Philippines during Pres. Oscar Hidalgo’s presidency but secretly partnered with Renato Hipolito’s corruption. Unknown to him, Renato is using him to gain personal powers and plans to eliminate him once Renato finds out that he will be useless in his plans. One day, he ambushed Oscar Hidalgo and his family resulting the deaths of the First Lady, Yohan, and Mary Grace framing up the Vendetta for his crime. He gained the position as the president to take control of the country’s resources and expand his underground activities with the help of Renato Hipolito.
In his regime, he constantly antagonized Cardo Dalisay and his friends after Renato declared they are the public enemy for the constant bombings and terrorism caused by Homer Adlawan. He also ordered the authorities to arrest Gen. Borja and CIDG arrested after learning that they are connected with Cardo to stop them from backfiring his plans. Later on, he learns that Oscar Hidalgo has survived during the ambush and ordered his henchmen to kill Oscar before he will be exposed from his betrayal.
After learning Brandon’s death, he’ve gone obsessed in manhunting Cardo and his family caused the death of Makmak after his goons raided Cardo’s family. Days later, Cardo and Vendetta with the manipulation of Lily Anne Cortez ambushed him alongside with Renato until Cardo finally shot him resulting his death.
Personality[]
He was seen to be respected official where citizens believed that he was honest that he was dedicated to give the country’s benefit for the people. In reality, he is characterized as a stereotypical corrupt official wherein he acts clean in public but he is corrupt official where he manipulate innocent people for his personal interests projecting his hypocrisy. However, at one point he got affected by the Cardinal’s words during the homily in a mass he attended indicating that he also fears God.
He is charismatic individual who is capable in manipulating people in his country as his way to take advantage of his position by stealing the country’s resources and antagonize anyone who will oppose him from his plans such as Cardo Dalisay and Vendetta. He is also hungry for power where he stole Pres. Oscar Hidalgo’s position for him to take control of the country’s resources and the authority.
Despite of being portrayed as a villain in the series, he genuinely cared his sons and planned to avenged their deaths caused by Cardo and the Vendetta. His vengeance also made him a wrathful individual who will be capable of killing the innocent ones connected to Cardo such as his adaptive relative Makmak.

- In March 2019, his actor Edu Manzano alongside with Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, and Jhong Hilario playing as Romulo Dumaguit, Anton Del Mundo, and Homer Adlawan respectively due to their candidacy for 2019 Senatorial Elections.
- He is similar to William Romero who are high-ranking officials who unlawfully stole the position as a president to antagonize the main protagonists of the series and take advantage of their corruption in the country.
