Lucas Lee is a major character in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. He is Ramona Flowers' second evil ex and a former member of the League of Evil Exes.

He was portrayed by Chris Evans, who also played Bryce Langley in Fierce People, Robert Pronge in The Iceman, Ransom Drysdale in Knives Out and Lloyd Hansen in The Gray Man.

Biography[]

This version takes place in an alternate timeline created by an Older Scott Pilgrim who attempted to prevent his past self from meeting Ramona in the first place. In this version, Lucas is shown to have a rivalry with Todd. He first appears alongside the rest of the League in Episode 2, when Matthew Patel, after "killing" Scott, attempts to take control of the League. Lucas ultimately sides with Matthew after he bests Graves in a fight, taking control of Graves's company and the League by comparison.

Eventually, Lucas's reckless skateboarding and a string of box office flops lead him to appear in a Canadian picture called Scott's Precious Little Life, a film set in an alternate reality where Scott defeated not only Patel, but the entire League as well. Lucas is also cast as the titular character, and forms a relationship with the actress playing Knives. During this, he is confronted by Ramona, who has discovered Scott is alive, and believes Lucas to be a possible culprit. However, when it's revealed that he is in a relationship with the actress playing Knives (who despite being in her 30's is playing a teenager), Paparazzi ninjas start chasing after him. Although Lucas defeats most of them, he is worn down and flung through a building. He then reunites with Ramona, who points out how she always helped him during their relationship. Lucas also reveals that the reason he became a successful actor was out of jealousy and spite towards her leaving him for Todd, and that he keeps the skateboard he broke out of anger in his room. The two make up, and Ramona sneaks Lucas out of the theater.

Later, after Lucas's career tanks, he calls Graves, now going by his birth name of Gordon Goose and living at Julie's, to apologize. The two then become friends, playing paintball, watching anime, baking cakes, and building a skate ramp, all to the frustration of Julie. Lucas later appears at Patel's show, which is also based off of the script for Scott's Precious Little Life, where he congratulates Scott for ending up with Ramona. He, alongside other individuals, are teleported to subspace to fight the Older Scott Pilgrim. Lucas gains a skateboard from Ramona's bag, and helps to fight Older Scott, but ultimately is sent back to the play. He later takes up a job as a barista alongside Scott's sister Stacey.
