Luciano Bradley, also known as the Vampire of Britannia, is a major antagonist in the mecha anime series Code Geass. He is one of the soldiers of the Knights of the Rounds brought in to fight for the Britannia Empire.

After the events of the the first season involving the attempted genocide of the Japanese by the brainwashed Euphemia Li Britannia, Lelouch vi Britannia had his memory wiped and went into attending his high school again, but eventually, Lelouch gets his memories back and went back to his secret identity as Zero. When Zero makes a return, the Knights of the Round were brought in to help combat him, Luciano Bradley being one of them.

He was voiced by Atsushi Kisaichi in Japanese in Japanese and Vic Mignogna in English.

Biography[]

Luciano Bradley makes his first appearance during Zero's speech, showing a sinister smile during said speech, he is shown alongside the rest of the knights watching said speech, ready to take part in battle.

Luciano makes his official introduction throwing a knife at Suzaku while taunting him for loving Euphemia, calling her princess massacre to anger him. While speaking with him Luciano refers to himself as the genius of homicide. Before he can prepare to start a fight with Suzaku, Bismarck Waldstein steps in to interrupt their fight, telling them to save that energy for the battle to come. Luciano eventually walks into the prison cell without permission where Kallen is being held prisoner. While conversing with her he makes a threat to rape her within the prison only to be interrupted by Gino, who scolds him for having no sense of pride and threatening an unarmed imprisoned woman.

During the battle, Luciano goes on a killing spree, destroying an entire ship killing everyone inside, showing disappointment over how easy they were to kill He is soon ambushed by six soldiers of which he easily dispatches five of them with little to no effort. Luciano proceeds to execute the last soldier after listening to him plead for his life, showing blatant disregard for the lives of others by saying that life is what people cherish most before impaling the soldier with a drill. Quickly after, Luciano uses one of the damaged Britannian ships as a way to attack one of the bases saying that it's already beyond saving. When Lelouch shows up to the Tokyo settlement and starts an attack, Luciano makes a request to Bismarck for him and his Savage Valkyrie Squadron to help with the fight, saying that he’s looking forward to taking more lives.

Luciano eventually runs into Lelouch, ready to kill him on the spot by drilling into the shield he's using to defend himself. He's distracted by one of Lelouch's soldiers but quickly goes on the attack again when he sees Lelouch drop his shield. Lelouch is saved when Kallen arrives, piloting the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements: a Knightmare which Lloyd comments being able to cut the other Knightmares to ribbons. After all the Valkyrie Squadron pilots are artfully killed by Kallen, Luciano engages Kallen in close range combat so he can use his Knightmare's slash harken to finish Kallen before she could react. However, Kallen easily blocks the attack, showcasing her immense speed, and grabs the head of Luciano's Knightmare in the close proximity he arrogantly encouraged, making it easy for Kallen to use the Guren's Radiant Wave Surger to kill the Vampire of Britannia for good.

Appearance[]

Luciano Bradley wears a cloak like the other Knights of the Round: his is colored orange. Bradley has purple eye pupils and auburn eyebrows. His hair is auburn and worn in a mullet-like style with a single hair hanging down in the middle.

Personality[]

Luciano Bradley is infamously known as the vampire of Britannia due to his sadistic and brutal methods when it comes to killing, every time he gets a kill he lets out a maniacal laugh showing how gleeful he is to end people's lives. During the battle, he's shown to have zero loyalty as he's perfectly willing to sacrifice fellow soldiers and even use them as meat shields to protect himself, he's never once shown to care for any of his subordinates as he shows zero reaction to their deaths, showcasing how little value life holds to him.

Bradley is known to be a violent and confrontational man, willing to provoke and attack others without provocation. This makes him disliked by several of the other Knights of the Round, including Suzaku.

In battle, Bradley displays a strong sense of sadistic tendencies. He is fond of freely causing death and destruction to anyone, even willing to forcefully sacrifice his own allies against their objections, and expressing little to no sympathy towards his victims.

He is fiercely loyal to Britannia, but does as he pleases most of the time, even around members of the Imperial Family.
