Lucifer is a antagonist in the manga Blue Exorcist. He is one of the Eight Demon Kings and the first strongest among them. He is one of the sons of Satan, the brother of Mephisto Pheles, Amaimon and the half-brother of the Okumura twins.

Description

Past

He is the first in the hierarchy of Gehenna, known as the King of Light.

Plot

In his own apartment located in an unknown area, Saburota Todo enters the demon's chambers, asks about his health and congratulates him on the successful opening of the artificial gates of Gehenna, for which Lucifer thanks him and replies that, compared to the past days, he feels relatively well. During the successful capture of Izumo Kamiki by Renzo Shima, Lucifer, with a flash of light, appears before the followers of Mephisto, Yukio and the Exwires; introduces himself as the King of the Light and the leader of the Illuminati organization. Calling Mephisto by his real name, he notes that he has not changed in any way, and coughs a couple of times. He and the Illuminati came to declare war on the Order of the True Cross.and the fact that in a year the Illuminati will resurrect Satan and unite Assia and Gehenna, returning the world to the state in which it was when Assia and Gehenna were one. Lucifer also explains that in this way people and demons will be equal to each other and no more conflicts will arise and there will be peace in the whole world. Lucifer also emphasizes that they, the Illuminati, do not forgive those who do not support their goal, however, for those who are ready to listen, the doors to the Illuminati are always open; then he turns to Mephisto as a brother for the last time, asking if he will join him or not, to which the King of Time and Space flatly refuses, declaring that the world is Chaos, in which many different things exist side by side. Lucifer asks Mephisto why they should maintain this order, carrying such a burden of pain and responsibility on his shoulders in his existence and notes that not everyone is as strong as Mephisto. However, they share that their values ​​are still different. Lucifer looks away from his brother and looks at Rin, explaining to his younger brother that he should also think about it. Then, in front of everyone present, he says that he and Mephisto should not let each other down and then tells that he is taking Izumo Kamiki, because the Illuminati need it for their plan. Then he apologizes and, turning his back to the exwires and brother, falls to his knees and coughs up blood, which attracts the attention of subordinates. And then he and several Illuminati disappear in a flash of light, and the seraph of Lucifer destroys the academy's barriers. A little later, at the Illuminati headquarters, Lucifer, to whom wires from a life-sustaining drug are attached, awakens from sleep and looks ahead with empty eyes. As soon as Gedouin arrives in the leader's room, the King of Light apologizes for causing his subordinates to worry. Turning to Gedouin, the blond man thanks him for making the elixir 1117, thanks to which he was able to show his face for a while. Next, he asks how the experiments with Izumo Kamiki are going , to which Mikhail replies that everything is going well and Kamiki's compatibility with the Nine-Tails is perfect. Lucifer comments that Tamamo is the material used to make “saviors” for people like Todo, and also expressed that he awaits further results of such experiments.  

Apart from this, Geduin states that the Illuminati captured the Okumura brothers, but Lucifer says he sensed their presence. When asked what to do with them, the leader replies that they should not be touched yet and that Samael must be returned later , since Rin Okumura is the property of his father, Satan. And the demon also mentions that Todo told him something interesting about Yukio. Homare Todowarns that Satan's son will not rest, Lucifer agrees with her fears and claims that he is the only one who is able to kill Rin. In addition, the woman reminds that the proclamation of war greatly drained the demon that day and, even simply speaking, he harms his body. The King of Light agrees to this before turning his attention to Renzo . Lucifer says that Renzo is the one who uses the black flame and the guy agrees.

He then asks Renzo for his opinion on the chances of the guards defeating Rin, as Shima in turn spent a year with him, passively gathering information. Shima claims that they are stronger, but the guards do not just eat bread, but still the chances are 50/50. Lucifer asks why, and the spy replies that: “Love is fragile. This is both the strength and the weakness of Okumura-kun." That is, he meant that one could make Okumura love the guards. And the Demon King expresses a desire to achieve this love, but suddenly blood begins to flow from his eyes, then he begins to cough violently, spitting out blood clots, causing anxiety among his subordinates. He tells Gedouin to continue experimenting with the elixir, as his duty to provide the Father with a flawless body is entirely up to him. The demon then loses consciousness. Renzo Shima delivers Hachirotaro Okami to Saburota Todo, Lucifer contacts him remotely. The demon orders Hachirotaro to be delivered to Dominus Liminis as a durable consumable. Also warns Todo about the Order of the True Cross , which is closely watching the immortal demons. Lucifer then hints to prepare a body for Satan from those materials for which the materials have already been collected. Later, he tells Todo about when he will need the Chosen One, including Todo himself. Lucifer then asks Todo if the man understands what this means. Todo answers in the affirmative, which is why Lucifer keeps them alive.

Lucifer is glad that Yukio is joining the Illuminati of his own free will.
