Lucifer is the overarching antagonist of the Darksiders series. The supreme ruler of the Kingdom of Hell, Lucifer is responsible for the premature Apocalypse that ravaged Earth and the Kingdom of Man and thus is the driving force behind every game in the series and the cause for every atrocity Hell has committed. Orchestrating events from the shadows, it is his goal to have all other forces in the universe wipe each other out, giving him sole dominion over creation.
Personality[]
Befitting his role as the Devil, Lucifer is full of incalculable evil and wants nothing more than to be free of the shackles of The Balance and claim all of Creation as his own. To this end, he is directly responsible for the Apocalypse and the nigh total extinction of Humanity, and wants to see both Heaven and the Charred Council reduced to nothingness as well. He cares not with whom he must ally in order to achieve this, seen when he allowed the corrupted Abaddon join the ranks of Hell, which directly caused Samael to rebel against him. He also has no patience for of failure of any kind, taking great twisted enjoyment in punishing the shortcomings of his servants in brutal fashion.
