~ Lucy while torturing Renee Matlin. |
Lucy is the main antagonist of the Criminal Minds episode "Supply and Demand". She is the psychopathic leader of a human trafficking ring.
She was portrayed by Angela Sarafyan.
Biography[]
Overview[]
Lucy is the leader of a human trafficking ring that sells girls and young women to the highest bidder. She procures the ring's targets by befriending them and taking them out clubbing, and then pretending to be kidnapped along with them. She pretends to try to help them plan an escape, until her henchmen take her away to frighten the targets. Lucy then takes over the auction and sells her "new friends", sometimes after torturing them for fun. She and her henchmen usually kill their victims after trafficking them, reasoning that their customers do not want to abuse the same woman twice.
Nothing about Lucy's life or past is ever revealed, even her surname; Lucy may not even be her real name.
"Supply and Demand"[]
Lucy befriends and kidnaps her latest victim, Renee Matlin, unaware that she is in fact an undercover agent of the Domestic Trafficking Task Force who is trying to infiltrate the traffickers. When Lucy finds out who Renee really is, she tortures her, beating her bloody while forcing her to play Russian Roulette.
Lucy's torture session is interrupted by one of her henchmen, who tells her that the FBI has invaded their headquarters, with a SWAT team in tow. She leaves an unconscious Renee in a pool of her own blood and tries to flee while the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) arrests her underlings. She and a henchman try to escape in a truck, but when a SWAT officer kills him, Lucy pretends to be one of the traffickers' victims.
Lucy talks to BAU Supervisory Agent David Rossi, attempting to play on his sympathy by saying that she does not to be "strapped down" by the traffickers again. Her choice of words arouses Rossi's suspicion, however, as none of the traffickers' victims thus far had shown signs of being bound or tied up. Meanwhile, Agent Derek Morgan and Renee's boss, SSA Andi Swann, realize that Lucy is the brunette women seen talking to Renee before she was kidnapped. Sensing that they are on to her, Lucy pulls a gun on Rossi, but Morgan outdraws her and shoots her in the chest, killing her.
