The Lurkers were a group of villains, mostly nameless enemies encountered in the video game Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. They served the game's main villains, Gol Acheron and Maia Acheron, and aided them in their quest to use Dark Eco to dominate the world and remake it to their liking. They reappearered in Jak II, but rather than being enemies, are good guys. In that game, they are led by a Lurker called Bruter, and Jak and Daxter have to help the Lurkers escape from the Krimson Guards a couple times in the game. Bruter also appears in the game Daxter, where Daxter solo has to help him. There are many different types of Lurkers, but most of them are common, with exceptions being the Dark Eco Plant, the first boss fight in the game, Klaww, the second boss fight in the game, and The Lurker Shark, who will eat Jak and Daxter, killing them in one hit, if they swim too far out in the water in most locations in the game, not to mention the aforementioned Bruter, who appears in both Jak II and Daxter. They never appear again after Jak II, and it's unknown what happened to them.

Appearance[]
The Lurkers come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and appearances. There's thirty-three types of Lurkers throughout Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Daxter, and Jak II, and every single one of them looks completely different from the other.
Personality[]
Most of the Lurkers don't have very defined personalities, as the vast majority of them simply exist to be mindless beasts who serve Gol and Maia without question, and attack Jak and Daxter on sight. Hell, they don't even have voice acting, aside from the occasional grunts or laughs when they've been hit or they manage to hit Jak. Even the two boss Lurkers in the game, the Dark Eco Plant and Klaww, don't have much in the way of a personality, and certainty don't have any complexities whatsoever.
Powers and Abilities[]
Most of the Lurkers, despite their varried appearances, can only attack Jak via up close melee attacks. However, there are a few that can use ranged Eco based attacks, such as the Quicksand Lurker on Misty Island, but these attacks are usually very easy to dodge. Also, most Lurkers take only one hit to kill. The only two excepts are the Bone Armor Lurker, which takes two, and the Double Lurker, which takes three. Because of this, they are easy obstacles to overcome.
