You know from battling with me that I'm loyal to, like, three people. Me, myself, and I!
~ Lync Volan

Lync Volan is a major antagonist in Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia. He is the Ventus Brawler of the Vexos but is also their weakest member.

Appearance[]

With a short stature, pink hair, and green eyes, Lync Volan wears clothing fitting to him being a servant of royal powers, with a gold-trimmed black coat over a white shirt, black and white pants, furred boots matching his coat, and a cloak that is green on the outside and teal on the inside.

Personality[]

Lync is the trouble maker of the Vexos, joining whichever side will win and willing to betray others to save his own skin. He also loves to insult his foes, and doesn't take losing well. He also has a crush on Alice.

Biography[]

Lync first appears with the other Vexos watching as the Bakugan get captured. He and Volt Luster confront Dan Kuso and Marucho Marukura as they arrive in New Vestroia, saying that they are weak and no match for them due to their gauntlets, something Dan soon obtains. Alongside Mira Fermin, Dan then fights against Lync and Volt with the heroes winning in the end. Despite this loss, the knowledge of Drago's existence causes them to report this information to Spectra Phantom and Prince Hydron, stirring their plot to get it.

When Gus Grav calls the Vexos for a meeting on their failures, Lync has a brief spat with Shadow Prove over losing a few Bakugan to his foes, which gets broken up by Mylene Farrow. When Gus beats Dan Lync mocks him further, saying his victory means nothing.

Professor Clay later unveils Altair for Lync to use, which he first uses against Mira in Alpha City. Despite this, the in-progress Altair causes the battle to end in a draw, due to him failing.

Lync and Volt were also made in charge of guarding the Alpha City controller. Spectra contacts them to get rid of the Resistance, and they eventually find their fight in the form of Shun Kazami and Ace in the Alpha City Tournament finals, where Lync reveals his new Bakugan, Wired and Volt's new bakugan Brontes. Lync and Volt, however, lose again and the controller gets broken in the process.

He and Volt later hear Runo and Julie when the girls tried to teleport Runo to New Vestroia, but due to the malfunction of Dr. Michael's teleportation machine, they failed to transport her properly. He later reports Gus and Spectra leaving to prince hydron revealing himself as a spy. While shadow fight marucho Runo goes through the portal, Spectra and Gus approach it, Lync blocks the entrance, reminding them that Prince Hydron had not given his consent for them to leave. Spectra told him that he would go anyhow, and he and Gus go into the portal to Earth. Lync decides to follow them, to make Hydron proud.

Lync tells Baron that he was sent by Hydron to spy on Gus and Spectra, but because the two of them were gone, he would defeat Baron and take Nemus. Unfortunately for Lync, he loses, as well Altair is destroyed because of a new Ability Card he was testing out.

Lync stays with Alice when Spectra and Gus are returned to New Vestroia.

Later he starts to build hatred towards Alice and Michael; leading him to leave later on. He receives a message from Spectra, which offers him to return with them if he double-crosses Prince Hydron. He agrees and tricks Alice into leading him and the others to the meeting place by saying he quit the Vexos. Once Alice discovers lync tricked her she gets furious He then returns to New Vestroia with Mira, Gus, and Spectra after trapping the bralwers in a cage. Once he returned he reports to Prince Hydron who orders him to keep spying on Spectra although Lync has other plans including taking over the royle family along with Gus and Spectra. Later Hydon orders Lync to keep a close eye on Spectra who is retuning to Gamma city.

He and Spectra are the only two Vexos that don't brawl when Gamma City is invade. He later shows Spectra a whole new set of mechanical Bakugan for Helios

soon when Prince Hydron asks to know where his Bakugan are, Lync tells him that Spectra took both sets of Bakugan. After Prince Hydron cuts off Mylene, Shadow, and Volt convince him to switch sides. Then, Gus overhears the other Vexos planning on taking Professor Clay with them. Thinking Lync is still on their side, Gus tells him to talk to Spectra, only to have Lync knock him out and lock him up.

Soon he joins Mylene Volt and Shadow to betray Spectra by killing him in Vest Palace. he then leaves New Vestroia with the other Vexos excluding Gus and Spectra.

In between the first and second arcs, Lync fled along with the rest of the royal family and the Vexos when the Resistance revealed their lies about the Bakugan. To escape the revolting Vestals, they took off on the Vexos Motherpalace into space.

Sometime later, he is shown talking with King Zenoheld about where the Brawlers are at.

Lync challenges Shun with his new mechanical Bakugan Aluze but ends up defeated. After his defeat, he is mocked by both Shadow Prove and Prince Hydron, angering him greatly. When Volt is upset about Brontes, Lync mocks him and asks if he will cry. He then joins the rest of the Vexos (except Volt) in taunting the Brawlers about going to Earth just to help their friends (this is cut in the dub)

The next day, he travels to Earth with Mylene, disguising himself as a street vendor and doing an excellent job at it. The two of them then find Runo and Mira and battle them. For most of the fight, Lync doesn't battle, but joins in near the end of Round 2 by using Alzue to distract Wilda and Tegera, causing Macubass to hit them. They ultimately win the fight, taking the Subterra Attribute Energy in the process.

Later on, Lync appears along with the rest of the Vexos when Spectra and Gus show up and threaten King Zenoheld to leave the brawlers alone. He then insults Spectra with the other Vexos telling Spectra he properly came to help the Bralwers. After this, when eating dinner, he compares Mylene and Shadow to his grandparents and laughs causing Mylene telling him to mind his own business. He then gets shocked when Gus takes Zenoheld hostage.

After Zenoheld wins aganst Gus he is shown laughing at the bralwers attempts to travel in the palace. Lync battles alongside Shadow against Ace Grit and Marucho Marukura for the Darkus energy and succeeds thanks to the Vexos Trap Field helping out Aluze and MAC Spider.

Lync later betrayed the Vexos when he copied the Alternative Weapon System data and heading to Earth. However, he was defeated and send to his presumably death by Hydron. But little did Hydron know, the data clip of the Alternative Weapon System was inside Lync's glove for Alice to find it and warned the Battle Brawlers.

Trivia[]

  • Lync is the only member of the original six Vexos who has never used a Bakugan Trap.
  • His hairstyle is highly similar to that of Mira Fermin's.
  • Mira referred to Lync as "the baby who thinks he's cool in the English dub of Invasion of the Vestals. However, in the Japanese version of Facing Ace, Mira referred to Lync as "The Greatest Zephyros Brawler, the Supersonic Tempest Lync Volan" [ ゼフィロス最強のバトラ 音速の嵐 リンク・ボラン (Zefirosu Saikyou no Batora Onsoku no Arashi Rinku Boran) ].
  • In the Japanese version, Lync refers to Shadow Prove as "Shadow-chan", a suffix that is commonly used for girls and denotes his superiority over Shadow. However, he could also be making fun of Shadow's effeminate/metrosexual traits.
