Who is this lowly worm before me? I'll not waste my time fighting the likes of you.
~ Lynx to Shadow.
I'm the leader of the Assassin's Order; you are not worthy of fighting me! At least your "battle" with Shin was entertaining.
~ Lynx towards Shadow, revealing his narcissism.

Lynx is a major antagonist in the Shadow Fight franchise. He is the narcissistic leader of a shadowy assassin group known as the Order. Before the events of Shadow Fight 2, he, alongside five other powerful fighters, was dragged into the Shadow World through the Gates of Shadows, created by the alien conqueror Titan. Here, he became a host of Titan's Shadow Demon, and was freed alongside other Shadow Demon Hosts after Shadow, an arrogant warrior, opened the Gates, which resulted in the latter losing his physical body and soul.

Before being dragged into the Shadow World, Lynx and his two subordinates were hired by Hermit, a martial arts sensei of the neighboring province, to hunt down and kill the Prince of Ivory City, but was stopped by Sensei.

After his release from the Shadow World, Lynx became the keeper of the blue demon seal, which, when combined with other demon seals, can open the Gates of Shadows. Shadow, in his quest to regain his body and soul, proceeded to defeat Lynx and his bodyguards, and claimed his seal. Lynx, alongside other Demons, returned when Shadow approached the Gates with all six Demon Seals, to stop him from opening it and unleashing Titan. Following Shadow's failed attempt to regain his body, Lynx and his bodyguards tried to stop Shadow once again, but failed, warning Shadow and his companions about Titan one last time.

In an alternate timeline created by Shadow Mind where Stranger became its ruler, Lynx is one of his generals.

Appearance[]

Lynx looks like a stereotypical ninja, wearing a black mask on his face and clad in gilded black armor with his claws. Like other Demons, his eyes are white without pupils. Demon Symbol appears on his shoulders, belt and headband.

During the events of Old Wounds, Lynx lacks his gilded black armor and his mask only covers the lower portion of his face. He has long black hairs tied in a bun, and has blue pupils. He wears a dark jacket with golden outlines and his forearms are clad in light-silver armor.

In Shadow Fight 3 and 4, his appearance changes drastically. He now wears a luxurious fur coat with purple accents and has the symbol of the Order present on his back. He no longer wears his old helm. Instead, he wears a mask with horns. As a Shadow Demon infused with Shadow energy, his eyes are black, with the sclera becoming blue in color. Additionally, his claws are also different from their past counterparts - they now have two blades instead of three.

Personality[]

Lynx is an extremely arrogant and narcissistic person, calling people "lowly worms" and seeing his bodyguards as mere pawns that can be easily replaced. Despite this, however, he values his organisation and is extremely afraid of losing his authority.

Lynx is very aggressive in combat, and is also stated by Ghost to be cunning, as the latter says he was tricked into serving Lynx.

Despite all of this, Lynx admits when the opponent is stronger than him, and is extremely afraid of Titan, incapable of moving when hearing his voice and doing his best to prevent him from arriving in this world.

In the Old Wounds Storyline, Lynx is shown to be greedy as well, pursuing and killing his targets as long as he's paid for that and also trying to kill anyone who interferes in his plans for even more money.

Lynx is also shown to be opportunistic & vengeful, as he worked with Corsair (an evil Shadow who led Wasp's pirates after killing her) to open Shadow Rifts above Sensei's dojo just to take revenge on the original Shadow during Shades.

In Shadow Fight 3, he is still arrogant and narcissistic as ever and continues to lead the Order. Despite his condescending attitude, there are few people whom he sincerely respects, such as May, Itu (as the Destroyer of Epochs) and the Stranger when he is the Master of Worlds. He seeks to restore the Shadow World and annihilate the Collector in accordance with his Master's wishes. This is clearly seen when he boasts about the Stranger, claiming he is stronger than time and fate and will defeat the Collector.

In Shadow Fight: Arena, he retains most of his original personality traits, including his narcissism and usual arrogance. His skills are unrivaled as an assassin, and this is further complemented by the fact that he rapidly attacks his opponents. The only thing, or person he still fears is Titan himself, even after his demise.

Biography[]

Nothing is known about Lynx's past, although it is known that at one point he founded the Order, a criminal organisation hired to track down and kill people for bounty.

Shadow Fight 2[]

Old Wounds[]

Part I: The Witness[]

Lynx, alongside his subordinates known as Spark and Cleric, was hired by Hermit to murder the Prince of Ivory City, who escaped his city after he was kidnapped by a criminal hired by Shogun, the warlord of Ivory City. After Prince stumbled into Sensei, Lynx attempted to convince him that Prince is out of his mind and that he was tasked to return him back to his home. Sensei didn't believe this story, and tried to protect Prince, forcing Lynx and his bodyguards to eliminate him too to remove any witnesses. However, Lynx and his bodyguards were defeated by Sensei, saving the Prince's life. Prince thanks him, and Sensei decides to accompany him to confront Hermit.

Part II: Shadow of the Future[]

Lynx was mentioned by Hermit when the latter admits that it was him who hired Lynx to kill the Prince, stating that it was to save his school's future. Hermit later reveals that Shogun promised him protection and ordered him to train his men, which is why he attempted to kill the Prince.

Lynx, alongside other powerful warriors (Hermit, Butcher, Wasp, Widow and Shogun) was latter dragged into the Shadow World through the Gates of Shadows, where the Gates' creator, an intergalactic conqueror known as Titan, turned him and other captured warriors into hosts of the Shadow Demons.

Main Storyline[]

Act I: Hero Reborn[]

Lynx and other Demons were freed after the Gates were opened by Shadow, a powerful but arrogant warrior who wanted to find a worthy opponent. This resulted in the latter losing his physical body and soul from the Shadow Energy Emissions.

In order to regain his physical body, Shadow and his companions (his Sensei and a blacksmith May), started to pursue the Demon Seals that can open the Gates again, with each of them belonging to a Demon, including Lynx.

Lynx refused to fight Shadow at first, calling him a "lowly worm" and saying that if he will defeat his weakest bodyguard Shin, he will perhaps have a honor of fighting Lynx himself. After Shin is defeated, however, Lynx was still hesitant to fight Shadow, calling himself "the Head of the Order" and saying that Shadow is still not worthy of fighting him, although he called his "battle" with Shin entertaining.

Lynx returns at the end of the act as its final boss. Before the fight, he asks Shadow if defeating his bodyguards proves the latter's strength, calling them "weaklings, pawns, easily replaceable and forgettable". He then gives Shadow a choice: either join the Order or suffer. Shadow refuses to join him, having no choice but to fight Lynx.

Defeated, Lynx is worried, not wanting to lose his authority in the Order. However, upon learning that Shadow only seeks the seal, he hands it over to him with no complaint, surprised that he just seeks a "precious trinket". He tells Shadow to get out of his sight and warns him that he will not forget what he has done.

Act VI: Iron Reign (Gates of Shadows)[]

Lynx, alongside his fellow Demons, appears at the end of the Act, trying to prevent Shadow from opening the Gates and locking them away again. He greets Shadow, asking him if he thought they would just disappear. They lose to Shadow again however, but Shadow didn't succeed in what he wanted, instead losing May after she was dragged into the Shadow World.

Interlude[]

Lynx and his bodyguards once again appear in Act I, serving as the first boss rush of the Interlude. This time, Lynx fights for good cause, as he doesn't want Shadow to re-open the Gates and unleash Titan. Upon being defeated, Lynx hears Titan's voice ringing inside his head, rendering him incapable of movement. He warns Shadow that Titan is extremely powerful, and that Shadow has doomed everyone.

Act VII: Revelation (Part III)[]

Alternate Reality Lynx was mentioned by Assassin, Titan's first bodyguard who is also an alternate reality Shadow who was corrupted by Shadow Energy Emissions and took the Order from Lynx upon killing him.

Lynx, alongside other Shadow Demon Hosts, was freed from his Shadow Demon following Titan's death.

Shadow Fight 3[]

Transformation: Itu's Plane[]

Lynx's Void Room Simulation appeared as the opponent in the Mission "In a Safe Place".

Finale: The Gates of Shadows[]

In an alternate timeline created by Shadow Mind where Stranger took over the world, Lynx is one of Generals of Stranger's troops.

Void Speaker's Adventure: Battle of Laws[]

Taking place sometime after the events of Finale: The Gates of Shadows, the Ancients led by Mnemos encounter the Demons Lynx and Butcher, who are swiftly defeated. The Demons reveal that they are returning back to the Shadow World and that they are not afraid of the Ancients as the Master (Stranger) has entrusted them to the Destroyer of Epochs. Both the Ancients and the Demons decide to forge an uneasy alliance with each other as their goal is now to eliminate the Collector and free the Void.

Shadow Fight 4: Arena[]

Lynx returns in Shadow Fight 4: Arena as one of the playable characters, appearing as an Epic Herald Character. Teaser released before he was added into the game reveals he became a part of the Shadow Tournament in an attempt to kill Shadow Mind. He has two skins: Head of the Order, based on his Shadow Fight 2 appearance, and Venturer, a seasonal skin. He also has some obtainable weapons, and an unique Stance and Victory Pose.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Skilled Assassin: Lynx is a very experienced assassin, leading "the Order", his own criminal organisation, and being hired to hunt down and kill people with high authority, such as the Prince of Ivory City.
  • Deception: As stated by Ghost, his bodyguard, Lynx is very cunning. According to the former, he was fooled by Lynx into fighting a dummy instead of the assassin master himself, instantly becoming the latter's bodyguard once he felt Lynx's claws digging into the back of his neck.
  • Combat prowess: Lynx is a very skilled fighter, being capable of putting up a good fight to Sensei and Shadow.
  • Enchantments: Lynx's weapons are enchanted with Poisoning and Time Bomb Enchantments, the former ability capable of poisoning the victim and the latter causing the victim to explode after a short amount of time.
  • Invisibility: His unique Shadow Demon ability. Lynx can become invisible for a short amount of time after throwing a smoke bomb, but will become visible again upon receiving high amount of damage. Currently, he can use this ability to break through opponent blocks while he is invisible, but he will become visible if he ends up taking damage or blocks opponent attacks.
  • Demonic Power: One of Lynx's abilities as a result of his Shadow Demon body. Lynx is able to regenerate his Shadow energy automatically and amplifies his Shadow damage each time he enters Shadow form, which grants him the Mark of the Demon and increases the length of his claws. Each time he attacks them, he steals their health and heals himself. However, this ability has a flaw. Lynx gets poisoned when he enters Shadow form, and both the healing and poisoning effects are amplified for each Mark of the Demon effect he has. The poisoned effect no longer exists currently. Instead, upon entering Shadow Form, his claws are infused with Shadow energy temporarily, which increase their length and reach. The Demonic Power can be amplified further through Titan's Whispers, which increases the damage dealt by Lynx, however it only lasts for the first instance of the Demonic Power, after which the amplification effect ends.
  • Mark of the Order: A unique ability specific to Lynx. Each time Lynx successfully damages his opponent, he applies a Mark - the Mark of the Order on them. When Lynx enters Shadow form, the Mark explodes, damaging the opponent and knocking them down. This Mark has two additional effects. If Lynx himself has applied it as the Mark of the Order's Leader, it will last much more longer and will appear larger. It can also prevent the opponent from gaining any Shadow Energy as long as it is present. The Mark will last briefly, but it can be reapplied with ease. (Not to be confused with Mark of the Demon from SF3).

Equipment[]

  • Lynx's Claws: Lynx's melee weapon. It is a pair of retractable, three-bladed metal claws, longer than most other weapons of the same type. It is enchanted with Poisoning and Time Bomb.
  • Shurikens/Throwing Daggers: Lynx's ranged weapons, having exact same Enchantments as his Claws. He intially uses Shurikens, but switches to Throwing Daggers upon losing once.
  • Force Wave: Lynx's Magic Amulet, capable of projecting a force wave.
  • Light Helm and Leather Jacket: Lynx's Helmet and Armor respectively.
  • Smoke Bombs: Lynx's Smoke Bombs that he uses upon activating his Invisibility ability.
  • Blue Seal: Lynx's Demon Seal, capable of opening the Gates of Shadows when used with other Demon Seals. According to Sly, those seals bring luck to its owner.
  • Egomaniac's Crown and Luxurious Furs: Lynx's Helm and Armor, worn after the events of Shadow Fight 2.
  • Order's Claws: Lynx's melee weapon, worn after the events of Shadow Fight 2, primarily used in Shadow Fight 3.
  • Jealous Kiss: Lynx's ranged weapons, equipped after the events of Shadow Fight 2, primarily used in Shadow Fight 3.

Trivia[]

  • Lynx, alongside other Demon Bosses, first appeared in the original discontinued Shadow Fight game from Facebook.
  • Lynx is the only Demon whose Armor and Helm are not enchanted.
    • He is also the only Demon whose weapons have two Enchantments instead of one.
      • However, the unlockable version of Lynx's Claws has only one Enchantment, which is the Time Bomb.
  • Lynx is also the only Demon (alongside Titan) who uses only one Magic Amulet.
  • Certain Abilities Lynx has in Shadow Fight Arena directly reference his SF2 abilities:
    • His Mark of the Order Ability is a reference to the Time Bomb Enchantment he had on his Claws and Ranged Weapons.
    • His Hunter in the Shadows Ability is a reference to his Invisibility Special Ability.
    • Additionally, his Titan's Whispers Talent references his dialogue in Interlude, where he states he heard Titan's Voice inside his head.
  • As revealed in the Story Mode chapter Sleepless Delirium of Shadow Fight 4: Arena, Lynx's greatest, and perhaps the only thing he fears is Titan.
