Mōryō is the main antagonist of the 2007 first Naruto Shippuden film, Naruto Shippuden the Movie.
He was voiced by the late Seizō Katō in the Japanese version, and by Daran Norris in the English version.
Role[]
In the movie, Mōryō had attempted to take over the world using his Ghost Army many years ago, but was sealed away by a high priestess. Many years later, a man by the name of Yomi attemps to bring Mōryō back from the dead by unsealing and reuniting his body and soul. Mōryō ends up possessing Yomi to complete this mission and releases his Ghost Army once again.
When he reaches the Land of Swamps where his body was sealed, he leaves Yomi and was reunites with his body. Upon being free, he fights and defeats Naruto Uzumaki and attempts to absorb Shion into his own body. However, before the absorption process could be complete, Naruto grabs Shion and the two kill Mōryō using an Ultra Chakra Rasengan, ending his reign of terror for good.
