Mary Kate, called MK for short and labeled The Outrageous and Underestimated, is a supporting antagonist in Total Drama Island 2023 and the secondary antagonist of Total Drama Island 2024.

She is a petite Asian girl who joins Total Drama, bent on winning the million dollars prize like every contestant. However, like all previous antagonists, MK is willing to resort to any kind of dirty tactics such as lying to avoid elimination and make her way into the finale at all costs, whether these involve her recording the confessionals to spy on others or disguising herself as an intern to know the specifics about forthcoming challenges.

She was voiced by Kimberly-Ann Troung.

Biography

Total Drama Island (2023)

MK first joins Total Drama with a plan of winning by flying under the radar. As she mentions in her audition tape, she thinks staying hidden while secretly strategizing is how you win Total Drama instead of being strong.

In Total Drama Island, she manages to steal many characters' belongings, such as Julia's phone. She then uses the phone to collect people's confessionals and learn about their plans. She finds out Julia's true nature early, and records her showing her real personality as she insults a dinosaur. Unfortunately for MK, she slips up by using Julia's catchphrase, which she only uses in the confessionals. This leads up to Julia finding out MK's plan, and getting MK eliminated by convincing everyone to vote her out.

Trivia

• MK is the second Total Drama antagonist to be an Asian girl, following Heather.
  • However, she is the first Vietnamese-Canadian girl, while Heather was Chinese-Canadian.
• Despite her claims that she would reveal the things she had recorded at the confessional, such as Julia's real self, MK never exposed what was Millie's true vote the night she, Priya, and Scary Girl tried to eliminate Ripper. It's possible that, had she made it to the merge, MK would have revealed what she discovered that night to create friction between Millie and Priya.
  • However, MK's findings later allow Bowie, who later retrieves the phone, to use them to threaten the friendship of Millie and Priya once in the final three, making MK indirectly responsible for both Millie's elimination and Bowie making it so far.
• When Zee began to reveal everyone's secrets, he revealed that MK slept with a stuffed unicorn named Theodore.
• To keep MK's design from having stereotypes, MK's skintone was scaled back to look less yellow in the second reboot season, which the creators did not want her to look too stereotypically Asian.
