Ma Jozee (simply known as Ma) is the main antagonist of the Russian animated film Savva: Heart of the Warrior.

She is a three-headed monkey queen who has two daughters as part of her, making her a complex and formidable force. As a ruthless leader, Jozee is driven by a desire for power and control, using her mastery over primates and strategic leadership to maintain dominance over the jungle.

In the Russian dub, she was voiced Lolita Milyavskaya. In the English dub, She was voiced by Whoopi Goldberg who also voiced Shenzi in The Lion King, Stretch in Toy Story 3, Stormella in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie, and Ursula in Descendants 2.

Personality[]

Ma Jozee is a cunning and ruthless three-headed monkey queen, driven by power-hungry ambition and a vindictive streak, with a charismatic leadership style and manipulative charm that inspires loyalty in her followers, while also possessing a cruel sense of humor and unpredictable temperament.

Appearance[]

Ma Jozee is a towering, imposing figure with three interconnected heads, symbolizing the bond between a mother and her daughters. The central head, the mother, boasts a wise and cunning visage with piercing yellow eyes and a sly grin. Her daughters' heads, flanking her on either side, share a similar yet youthful appearance, with mischievous glints in their eyes.

The left head, one daughter, has a slightly more aggressive features, while the right head, the other daughter, appears more mystical. Their bodies are muscular and athletic, covered in shimmering grey and black fur, with intricate tribal markings and adornments that reflect their status as a powerful family unit.

Biography[]

During the beginning of the film, Savva’s village was attacked by the hyenas who capture the humans in an effort to sell them to Ma Jozee.

In her lair, she showcases her cruelty by using a subject as a dart. Her daughters, Zee and another, engage in a conversation, revealing their unique dynamic. Upon learning that Savva, Puffy, and Fafl are visiting the magician, Ma Jozee sends torpedoes to spy on them.

She discovers that the Rockies are also investigating and declares war on them, seeking to prevent the white wolves from transforming back. Ma Jozee and her family lead the monkeys into battle against the Rickies and heroes.

However, the Mosquito King's change of heart leads to a betrayal, and Ma Jozee's army turns against her. The dragon captures her, forcing her family to retreat in defeat. Later, Ma Jozee attempts to negotiate with the dragon, offering him leadership, but he refuses to no avail.

In a final twist, Puffy's wish to the magician results in Ma Jozee and her daughters being worshipped as gods by a native tribe, who are currently under their control. The same tribe, who once mistakenly captured Puffy, now obey Ma Jozee's commands, much to her daughters' delight.
