Machine Gun Despar is a Robot Fighter of the Despar Army and an antagonist in episode 5 of Inazuman Flash.
He is voiced by the late Motomu Kiyokawa, who would later voice Kozo Fuyutsuki in Neon Genesis Evangelion. His human form is portrayed by Toshishi Moriya.
Biography[]
Machine Gun Despar was sent to perform a deal with a group of weapons smugglers to buy a jeep equipped with a missile launcher. When he gave the smugglers their payment in a briefcase however, it turned out the briefcase actually contained poison gas as Machine Gun Despar killed them and stole the missile launcher. Inazuman then appeared, having noticed a missile being fired off, and faces off against Machine Gun Despar, but as the two can clash Udespar appears and orders Machine Gun Despar to escape with the missile launcher. Machine Gun Despar reluctantly complies and drives off with the missile launcher.
Machine Gun Despar later came across a boy with psionic powers and sent Despar Soldiers to kidnap his older sister. In his human guise, Machine Gun Despar then approached the boy and told him Goro Watari was the one responsible for his sister's kidnapping in order to get him to lure Goro out. Once Goro arrived before him, Machine Gun Despar showed his true form and faced him in battle. With help from Udespar, Machine Gun Despar and his forces manage to capture Goro Watari and tie him up. They then bring Goro to a Despar hideout where a pair of Despar scientists prepare a surgery to lobotomize him. However, Goro is freed by Makoto Arai and rescues the boy before escaping. Goro then becomes Inazuman and gets in Raijingo to go rescue the boy's sister. Machine Gun Despar attempts to shoot down Raijingo with the missile launcher, but Raijingo catches one of the missiles and drops it on the missile launcher, destroying it.
Inazuman then returns to the ground to fight Machine Gun Despar and defeats him using his Zeber, causing Machine Gun Despar to tumble off a cliff before exploding.
