Machinegun Joe is a criminal whose likeness was copied by Dr. Saionji of the Super Science Network as part of a scheme to frame Janperson and an antagonist in episode 8 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
Biography[]
As he was fleeing from the police after committing a robbery, Machinegun Joe was kidnapped by agents of the SS-N and taken to a secret base. There, Dr. Saionji used the Memory Foam he had developed to copy his likeness. Saionji then set Joe loose to commit a robbery in order to lure out Janperson. Once Janperson arrived, Saionji sprayed him with the Memory Foam to turn him into a copy of Joe, causing the police to chase him under the impression that he was Joe.
While appearing as Joe, Janperson rescued a boy who had become trapped under rubble that had fallen due to Saionji's goons shooting it, causing the boy to believe that Machinegun Joe had saved him. After hearing the boy stick up for him, the real Joe was convinced to have a change of heart and shielded Janperson and the boy from gunfire from Saionji's goons, before telling Janperson the location of the secret SS-N base.
Joe was later caught and presumably had his wounds treated before being placed in a jail cell. Saionji was later brought to that same jail after being sprayed by his own Foam Memory Cells and arrested by Detectives Komoi and Takaido under the impression he was Joe. Upon seeing each other, the two Joes attempted to convince the detectives that the other was the real Joe.
