Mad Dog is one of the many party members Brad can recruit throught his journey in LISA: The Painful. Although he seems harmless at first, he shows his darker side later on.
Biography[]
LISA: The Painful[]
Mad Dog was the father of two children. He used to be very strict on them and after they reached a certain age, he challenged them to a fight to see if they were worthy enough to pass on the Mad Dog name. Whoever won would have to eat him as a family tradition. When they failed, he killed them with his spiked club and then ate them.
After this, Mad Dog started to look for other people as his succesors. Since all women had died he couldn't have more kids. So when Brad found his lost spiked club, he joined in his quest and started to see him as his son. When Brad was sleeping by a campfire, Mad Dog told his plans to go through the same ritual with Brad. When Brad woke up, he went silent again.
When Brad went alone on the boat in order to rescue Buddy, Mad Dog and the other party members went after him in order to stop him. When they came face to face in Rando Land, Mad Dog was in tears as Brad beat him to death, ironically fulfilling his wish.
Appearance[]
Mad Dog is a white, fat man with a large, parabolic head. He has tiny black beady eyes, a huge red curvy nose and a thin black mustache that many people mistake for a frown. He has a metal cap, dark green martial arts belt and tiny black shorts. He covers one of his nipples with a black eyepatch.
Personality[]
Mad Dog is a shy man that mostly keeps to himself. But deep down he is a selfish and ruthless man that wants nothing but to keep making more Mad Dogs
Trivia[]
- He is the developer Austin Jorgensen's favorite party member.
- Also according to Austin, he is the strongest person that can join Brad's party.
- The reason why Mad Dog followed Brad to Rando Land could be for him to continue the cycle.
- His campfire cutscene only occurs if Brad hasn't sacrified any of his arms. This could mean that Mad Dog considers Brad to be his son only if he saw him being as ruthless and selfish as himself.
- He and Garth have the most distorted looking sprites in the Manifestation of Marty boss fight's spider phase.

- This could be because both of these characters got a lot more villainous characterization in the Definitive Edition.
