Mad Oniyama or better known as Dr. Mad Oniyama is the main antagonist of the Kodansha manga Godzilla, King of the Monsters. He is a mad inventor bent taking over the world reviving old enemies of Godzilla to destroy Godzilla and the G-Team.
Appearance[]
In the first half of the manga he resembles an adult with some with hair and has some glasses.
After his near death expierence in a explosion, he has cybernetic implants likely due to the injures of the explosion on him.
He is later reduced to an head when he transplanted it into his creation King Godzilla.
Personality[]
He is evil, cunning, and very intelligent as he able to do many schemes and smart enough to bio-engineer many kaiju or rebuild many mechas without issue. He also twisted and wicked though he rarely act polite when under a ploy or when he feels like. He is also very egoistical as believing he is able to rule the world.
History[]
Not much of his past is known other than the fact he is known scientist that became evil and plan on world domination.
He would later first create Sea Baragon a modified clone of Baragon that was killed in Frankenstein vs. Baragon and was sent over to attack ships off the cost of Izu Oshima, After his creation is provoked by G-Team, it attempted to kill them before Godzilla shown up where the two fought with ending in Godzilla killing Sea Baragon. He retreated back to his base for his next scheme.
Trivia[]
- He is likely inspired off of Dr. Who and Shinji Mafune from the Godzilla films. He would end up using monsters they were both involved in Mechani-Kong and Mechagodzilla respectively.
- He is technically the only human villain to appear in both a Godzilla and King Kong manga due to him using Mechani-Kong and the events of King Kong Escapes canon to the manga's continuity. Though King Kong himself doesn't appear in the manga only mentioned.
- He would re-appear in a non-canon continuation of the manga made by the author Hiroshi Kawamoto King of the Monsters Champion Festival where he have revealed to survive the events of the final chapter where he attempt to have Shin Godzilla and the Manga Godzilla fight each other.
