The Madame, real name unknown, is a post-humorous antagonist of the web series, RWBY. She was the adopted mother of Cinder Fall, who used her as nothing more than free labor. It was her and her daughters' abuse towards young Cinder that helped shape Cinder into who she is today.
She is voiced by Linda Leonard.
History[]
Shown only in the flashbacks of the episode Midnight, The Madame was owner of the Glass Unicorn, a higher end hotel in Atlas. To help run the hotel, The Madame adopted Cinder from a Mistral Orphanage to be the main caretaker of the hotel. To keep her loyal, The Madame ordered a shock collar put around Cinder's neck disguised as a necklace. As the years progressed, Cinder was starved, beaten, and humiliated by both the Madame and her two daughters. Despite Cinder's attempts to rebel, the collar was used to keep her loyal. It was used so often; Cinder developed a scar around her neck. Overtime, Cinder met the Huntsman Rhodes, who saw her pain and trained her to use her aura and semblance. However, Rhodes was shocked to learn that Cinder had snapped and killed her adopted family, with the girl saving The Madame for last as she tried unsuccessfully to shock her stepdaughter.
