Madame Kassandra is the main antagonist of the 2023 video game SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, based on the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise.
She is a mysterious mermaid fortune-teller and sorceress that sells magical items, who secretly plots to overthrow King Neptune and conquer the world using Cosmic Jelly. To this end, she sells Neptune's wish-granting bubble soap to SpongeBob and Patrick, who accidentally destroy reality with its power, and tasks them with collecting Cosmic Jelly for her under the guise of wanting to help them repair the world, before revealing her true colors.
She was voiced by Sirena Irwin, who also voiced Karen 2.0 and the Ice Cream Lady.
Personality[]
Kassandra is conniving and scheming, often relying on those naïve enough to follow her commands, such as SpongeBob and Patrick.
Appearance[]
Kassandra is a mermaid with lavender skin, violet hair, and a light green tail. She has one one purple eye and one green eye. She wears a red headband, a white tank-top, a necklace with a clam medallion, a red skirt wrapped around her waist, and gold jewelry on her body.
Biography[]
After SpongeBob and Patrick fail to fit in with a group of cool kids at Glove World, Madame Kassandra's wagon teleports in right at the spot. SpongeBob then scrounges through her loot, before setting his eyes upon a vial of magic bubble soap. Kassandra notices this and introduces herself, before explaining the purpose of the vial and how it grants those user's wishes.
After SpongeBob causes a disaster after blowing too many bubbles with the soap, Kassandra offers to help him by giving him costumes according to the theme of the level. That's where she starts to reveal her true colors little by little, after SpongeBob and Patrick completed their main goal in each world.
Eventually, SpongeBob and Patrick come back with enough Cosmic Jelly to give to her, that her intentions shine through, as she starts to laugh wickedly. King Neptune then teleports in and berates SpongeBob for his naivety of trusting Kassandra and reveals her true plans that includes her stealing his magic bubble soap, before the latter traps him with some of Cosmic Jelly. She then transforms Squidward to be her minion, and uses him in the final battle against SpongeBob and Patrick.
She is eventually defeated, being sealed in a portal, which determines how her fate will come about, as she is not seen during the post-game afterwards.
