Madame Malin is the main antagonist of the Cartoon Network series We Baby Bears.
She is a French fox and the mother of Madeline Malin. She has an obsession with pleasing Madeline, despite her obviously psychotic tendencies, and extreme obsession over Panda.
She is voiced by Janeane Garofalo.
Appearance[]
Madame Malin is an anthropomorphic fox with red hair, dark eyelids, purple eye shadow, and blue eyes. She wears white boots, a black skirt, a light blue jacket with shoulder pads, and a purple shirt with black deltas underneath.
In the episode Panda's Family, Madame Malin wears an inflatable panda outfit with red Chinese clothes and a Chinese straw hat in her head.
Biography[]
Madame Malin, along with her daughter Madeline, live in a exquisite, large mansion. She clearly loves Madeline dearly, and does everything in her power (and money), to fulfill all of her wishes and requests. She sees her as a "precious baby angel", and treats her like a real princess.
Hashtag Number One Fan[]
Using a photo booth, Madame Malin manages to capture Panda and take him to her mansion. She begins pampering him and giving him everything he wants from bubble tea, to fancy clothes. This is all with the intention of keeping him in her house to please her daughter Madeline, despite her psychotic tendencies and extreme obsession over Panda.
Grizz and Ice Bear finally managed to find Panda and they try to take him back home. Madeline blocks Panda away from his brothers, and Malin screams at them for breaking into her home. Malin then complains on how she should have water proofed the Panda robot, but Madeline pushes it out the way and pouts about Grizz and Ice Bear. This angers Malin and she orders them to leave, but Panda reassures that they are his brothers. Malin could care less about what Panda is saying because Grizz and Ice Bear are upsetting Madeline.
Panda tries to convince the fox girls that three bears are better than one, but Madeline only wants Panda. Unable to leave his brothers, Panda explains that if Malin kicks them out, then he is going with them. Malin doesn't believe Panda would give up all he was given, and threats to delete all of his photos taken with them. Panda hesitates, but ends up deleting the photos, shocking the French foxes. Madeline then screeches in anger, which upsets Malin, causing her to activate her robot.
Malin swears to make Panda, Madeline's best friend, even if it destroys him. Malin captures Grizz and Ice Bear and threatens to flatten them like a crepe. Panda doesn't want his brothers to get hurt, so he gives himself up, pleasing Malin and Madeline. Panda then pulls out a bubble tea, and throws it at the robot, causing it to short circuit. The robot ends up exploding, along with the house. This gives the brothers enough time to escape from the place. Malin and Madeline ends up surviving, but Madeline is distraught that Panda got away. Malin comforts her daughter, insuring that she would capture Panda if it was the last thing she does.
Panda's Family[]
Madame Malin and her daughter Madeline disguise themselves as pandas, go to a Chinese lantern festival, and convince Panda and the other bears that they are his uncle and cousin. In the end, they reveal their identities and try to take Panda away inside a hot air balloon but Grizz and Ice Bear try to stop them. With a harpoon, Madame Malin manages to take down the Bears. But, Panda manages to rip her inflatable clothing, causing her and Madeline to fly away wildly.
High Baby Fashion[]
On an island inhabited by cats, Malin and her daughter Madeline manage to capture Panda with the use of a drone, but when Madame finds out about a fashion contest and then she immediately enrolls her daughter in this contest because with madeline's cuteness and her knowledge of elast sewing they would have a chance of winning.
but the little bears tease her saying that madeline would not have a chance to beat they's little brother panda,so she makes a bet with the bears that if they won the event, the bears would lose Panda and he'd have to be a slave of her daughter forever.
Throughout the contest, the foxes manage to beat Panda in every category, further damaging his self-esteem. It all comes to a head when he overhears Madeline arguing with her mother backstage, which ends with her running out of their dressing room crying.
The two butt heads, and the fox kit explains her mom is making her participate for glory and respect, when she really wants to hang out with Panda, and follow her passion for accordion playing. Panda comes up with a plan that involves them doing a duet, and the two end up being victorious. Malin however, is infuriated by this, only to flip flop after her daughter fails to net the bears on their way out, and starts crying again.
