She ends up realizing that the mother is still alive, and tires to help the mother, until Lucie sees them and instantly attacks the mother and kills her for good. Lucie then starts seeing the disfigured woman again, which "attacks" Lucie, while Anna only sees Lucie hitting her head on the wall. The disfigured woman is nothing then a illusion of Lucies for leaving another woman alone in the torturing chamber when she was a child. Lucie then realizes that the haunting of the woman will never end, and she kills her self.

The next day, Anna is seen sleeping and its revealed though a phone call that she has been abused as a child. Anna hears noises and finds a underground chamber in the living room. When she went down, she saw pictures of various disturbing victims which were alive during their sufferings. The Mademoiselle goes to explain that she is a part of a secret society, which is trying to find the secrets of death, through of making the martyrs. While the shot lady's, Lucies and the whole families bodies all together get burred by the strangers, letting their dead bodies rest together under the ground.

Mademoiselle shows pictures of numerous victims and she tells their stories behind of their torturing's. Their experiments consist of torturing young woman because of their believing's that their suffering will result in answers of what come after death. They end up capturing Anna and make her their new victim. They lock her up in the same chamber where the locked lady was. In the house, a new "normal" family start living there, which is a couple of a male and female. The male beats Anna, while the woman feeds Anna. Over the time, Anna becomes more and more destroyed, her body starts becoming full of bruises. The female then tells Anna that there is a final test for Anna and that then everything will be over. The male then brought Anna into a operation room, where the man removed all of Anna's skin from her, making her skinless flesh.

Later on, the female screamed seeing that Anna got the transcendence. They contacted Mademoiselle instantly about it. Mademoiselle then get to their house, goes down into the chamber and lets Anna whisper into her ear. This escalates in various members of the society gathering into the house, learning about Anna. The movie ends with Mademoiselle talking to a assistant, about death, she asks him if he can imagine what will happen after death, he says no, and she only told him to keep doubting, and she ends up killing herself with a handgun.
