Raid Team Captain Raid Team Captain Madrex (斬込隊隊長マッドレックス Kirikomi-tai Taichō Maddorekkusu) is a major antagonist in Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger, serving as the main antagonist of the show's first lap and as the secondary antagonist of the third one, in which he's revived as Madrex Fury (マッドレックス・フューリー Maddorekkusu Fyūrī). He has a pet dog named Hashiri-ken (ハシリ犬) on his left thigh, or on his left hand as Madrex Fury.

As his name suggest, Madrex excels in combat and is shown to be a formidable enemy to the Boonboomgers.

Madrex and Hashiri-Ken are both voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, who previously voiced Shou Ronpo/Ryu Commander in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.

Biography[]

Past[]

At an unknown point, Madrex joined the Hashiriyans and became their Raid Team Captain. One day, he came across the Sanseaters while they were approached by thugs. Impressed by Decotrade's determination, Madrex beat up the thugs and became the Sanseaters' favorite boss.

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger[]

Initially supervising over the Sanseaters while still in the Hashiriyan HQ, Madrex orders them to absorb Gyahsoline and to not fail him.

He later comes to Earth to join the Sanseaters and help them collect Gyahsoline, and comes across Taiya Hando/Bun Red. While fighting him for the first time, Madrex finds him to be a worthy opponent and a rivalry between the two is formed.

Wanting to defeat his new rival, Madrex orders the Sanseaters to find a way to lure him into a fight. After they trap the other Boonboomgers in cages, Madrex challenges Taiya for a fight and offers him to join him and Waruido Spindo if he loses, but Taiya refuses and wins. After squeezing the Gyahsoline out of Yaiyai Yarucar and growing giant, Madrex manages to defeat all formations of the Boonboomger Robo and knocks Taiya unconscious.

He then faces the other Boonboomgers, who fight him while Taiya is healing. After Taiya heals and rejoins his friends, they defeat Madrex with a combined effort by forming Boonboomger Robo Knight.

Madrex Fury[]

When Rebuild Captain Disrace arrives on Earth, he snatches a delivery from Taiya that contained a pipe that remained of Madrex's body. After ordering the Sanseaters to find Hashiri-Ken, who survived Madrex's death, Disrace uses the dog, the pipe and an amount of Gyahsoline to revive the fallen Captain as Madrex Fury. The revived Madrex lacked any memories of his previous life as Disrace didn't bother with restoring them, instead opting to use Madrex as his bodyguard. Madrex goes and fights Taiya once again, but doesn't recognize him. On their second fight, however, Taiya hits Madrex on his head, restoring some of his memories, though Disrace removes them once again.

Distraught by their boss' current state of memory loss, the Sanseaters decide to help Madrex regain his memories, luring Taiya into a trap to fight him. Madrex defeats Taiya, but the sight of Boonboomger Robo Knight restores his memories completely, so he decides to keep working for Disrace, pretending that he's still his servant. When Genba Bureki/Bun Orange comes to find Disrace, Madrex outs his location to Genba but asks him to tell Taiya to kill him.

Death[]

Disrace finds out that Madrex's memories were restored when he ponders on brainwashing the Sanseaters as well, visibly enraging Madrex. After brainwashing him using a Number Displate, he sends Madrex to fight the Boonboomgers. Genba rejoins them and tells them that Madrex requests their services and needs them to free him from Disrace's control. The Boonboomgers successfully do so, but find out that Madrex has been turned into a living bomb by Disrace to take all of them down. Deciding to spare the lives of his opponents out of respect, Madrex flies to space and gives farewell words to the Sanseaters before exploding.

Personality[]

Madrex is a tough, ruthless and rude commander with the attitude of a delinquent street thug. He takes pride in his position as a Hashiriyan captain and often reprimands the Sanseaters for their failures. Madrex is very loyal towards his boss, Waruido Spindo, holding him in high regard and claiming him to be too big for the universe to handle.

As Madrex Fury, Madrex is stoic and submissive thanks to Disrace removing his memories, and lacks his fiery personality.

Madrex has respect for those he finds skilled and worthy, such as his rival Taiya, often telling him that he's pleased to fight with him and will await for their next fight. He evenutally comes to respect the entire team when they free him of Disrace's control.

Madrex's attitude for the Sanseaters is rather harsh, as he yells at them and hits them when they make him lose his patience. However, deep inside it's shown that he genuinely cares about them, as Disrace's proposal of brainwashing them makes him clench his fist in anger. He also adores his pet dog, Hashiri-Ken.
