Dragon Quest Builders 2[]
When Madusa first appeared on Khrumbul-Dun, an island famous for its ore resources and bars, she met the guardian deity of the island, Goldirox and she fell in love with him. However, Goldirox rejected Madusa, causing her to angrily turn Goldirox into a stone golem and buried him away in the sand. She would also use her petrifying beam to turn the ores of Khrumbul-Dun into stone, effectively destroying the mining industry of the island and later lead to the fall of the bars as well as forcing miners to give up their job one by one. Madusa then went deep underground, never to be seen again.
Eventually, as the Builder and Malroth came to the island, they helped Khrumbul-Dun to bring back mining and rebuilding the bars while slowly helping Goldirox to return to his original form, a gold golem. When Goldirox turned back into a gold golem, Babs, a bunny girl from the island danced during the celebration of Goldirox's recovery at the pool of the island. However, the beauty of Babs ended up luring Madusa out of the ground. Feeling envious and angry about them not obeying the Children of Hargon, Madusa petrified Babs and sent waves of monsters to attack the Builder and his friends before retreating back to underground.
After defeating the monsters, the miners were in despair and lose their will to mine. However, one of the habitants of the island suggested that by luring Madusa out and killing her, Babs would be saved. Then, with they build a gold bar with the Builder and created the Golden Gauntlets, equipping it on Goldirox. With that, Madusa once again rises from the ground as she was lured out by the gold bar, and swore that she would kill everyone on the island this time. However, with Goldirox and the Golden Gauntlets, the miners and Builders were able to reflect the petrifying beam back to Madusa. With that. after a long and tough battle, Madusa was finally destroyed for good. However, despite of her demise, Babs still wasn't reverted to normal. In the end, with the Heartstone the Builder obtained from the Madusa, the Golden Glow was created and Goldirox sacrificed himself to break the cruses of Madusa, thus bringing back Babs and the ores to the Khrumbul-Dun.
