Magane Chikujoin is a major antagonist of the 2017 manga and its anime of the same name Re:Creator. She is a character from a fictional light novel and anime series of the show Record of the Night Window Demon. She is a student at Korougamine Academy as well as a criminal that killed numerous of her own academy. She was later on summoned as one of the creation within the “human“ world.
Appearance[]
Magane is a girl of average height slender legs with dark-purple colored hair that are seen tied in a long braid arriving at her waist. She has sharp yellow eyes and wears a torri shaped earing. She often carries a devious expression on her face. The rest of her body wears a dark sailor fuku uniform adorned with red linings that consist of a rope tie attached with two jingle bells like the one attached at the end of her braid, a short skirt, a pair of black gloves with a red pentagram surrounded by a red circle on each, a pair of black high knee socks and a pair of brown shoes.
Biography[]
Magane first appears in a shop. She is soon after seen in a book store where she discovers a book where she discovers a book from the manga she originates from, as well as a character from a roleplay game known as Call of Cthulu. She then leaves the store but is interrupted by the store's owner telling her that she has to pay for the item. In responses she tells him that the books belongs to her since it is the story she originates from before killing the men by summoning a monster that comes from the book.
Magane blackmails Sota Mizushino.
She then meets by Alicetaria February and Mamika Kirameki before arrived making Magane to leave. The four creations then starts an altercation causing a battle between them while Magane sits in the back and enjoys the conflict. Selesia asks Magane to come with them and stop commiting murders. Magane then goes to the appartement of her creator where she use his laptop where she learns that he is the one that has the capabilities to change the writting of her story as well as give her additional abilities.
She later on joins Mamika Kirameki and Sōta Mizushino in a cafe. Later on she concludes that he is connected to the loss of Setsuna Shimazaki and blackmails him. Further on in the story she discovers Mamika who was gravely injured. After the death of Mamika, Alicetelia arrives at the scene and is told by Magane that Meteora is the one that ended her. Deceived by Magane, Alicetelia goes on in her way to find and avenge Mamika by killing Meteora. As he was about interact Sōta, their conversation is interrupted by Meteora along with Yuya that came to save him from Magane. As Magane was about to face Meteora and Yuya, Alicetelia then comes to get her revenge on Meteora.
Abilities[]
- Infinite Deception of Words: an ability that allows Magane to manipulate reality through lies and deception. By telling a lie and convincing someone to reject it, she can then say the incantation "uso no uso, sore wa kururi to uragaeru" ("うそのうそ" or "a lie for a lie"), which creates a "lie of a lie." This, in turn, makes the word spoken become reality. According to Meteora, this power works by reversing the cause and effect, leading her victims to contradict what she said. The effects of the reality warping will be have its presence remained in the real world. It is also suggested that saying the incantation is not always required for her to activate this ability for example her uses of power against Yuya was worked even though she did not said the full incantation unlike previously.
