Low-Rank Ninjas Magerappa are genin (下忍, lit. "low-rank ninjas") who serve as footsoldiers of Jakanja and supporting antagonists in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger.
They have bodies that are stiched together and filled with insects. They wield red kama as their primary weapons.
They are voiced by Toru Omura.
History[]
Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger[]
The Magerappa took part in the Jakanja's invasion of Earth. They were used by the Jakanja in their advance attack on the Hayate's Way Ninja Academy. A group of Magerappa were led by Kekkaibo, a mid-rank ninja of Chuuzubo's Alien Ninja Corps, during his attack on the Hayate's Way graduation ceremony. They were all fought off by Yousuke, Kouta and Nanami after they became the Hurricanegers.
Magerappa would go on to be used by mid-rank ninja from each of the Jakanja's four ninja corps to assist in their operations.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger[]
Following the Jakanja's defeat, leftover Magerappa would continue to serve under Sandaaru Jr. and Satarakura Jr., a pair of Space Ninjas working for the Space Empire Zangyack.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Flying Ghost Ship[]
Several Magerappa were part of an army of past enemy grunts that were fought by the Gokaigers in Los Dark's ghost dimension which housed the 1500 spirits of the villains defeated by the Super Sentai. After losing some of their number in an initial skirmish, the remaining members from each grunt group merged to form the Combined Combatant. Though the stronger opponent, the Combined Combatant proved to be unstable due to internal conflicting among the grunts composing him over who got to finish the pirates off. Taking advantage, the Gokaigers used the Battle Fever J Ranger Keys to destroy the Combined Combatant with the Penta Force cannon.
