Magistrate Collins is a member of the Terran Confederacy serving as Magistrate of Chau Sara and a minor villain in the Precursor demo/prologue campaign to the real time strategy video game StarCraft.
History[]
As the Sons of Korhal insurgency against the Confederacy began to spread across the outer colonies, the Confederacy's hold on the fringe worlds weakened and it soon became apparent that Chau Sara might revolt as well. Collins thus called in Alpha Squadron to deal with the situation and to suppress any dissidents.
However, the Confederate forces soon fell under attack from the Zerg. The Cerberus Recon Squad then arrived and Collins was forced to enlist their aid in taking back the Flannum Installation, a facility that was conducting research on the Zerg. Collins disagreed with the Cerberus Commander's tactics, but the Commander was quick to pull rank on Collins and take charge of the operation.
Collins's fate is not shown, but given how it is later revealed Chau Sara fell to the Zerg and was subsequently incinerated by the Protoss, it is most likely that Collins was one of the unaccounted casualties resulting from either incident.
