I'm here because I don't want to be bound by anything! We're free to decide for ourselves exactly where we belong!!
~ Magne's last words to Kai Chisaki.

Kenji Hikiishi, better known by her villain name, Magne, is an antagonist in the manga/anime series, My Hero Academia. She was affiliated with the League of Villains and a member of the organization's Vanguard Action Squad. She is a transgender woman with the powers of magnetism and preferred to go by female pronouns despite her traditionally male appearance.

She is voiced by Satoru Inoue in the Japanese dub and Jeremy Inman in the English dub.

Personality

While facing her opponents, Magne has a brutal and combative attitude showing a perceptive intuition, coupled with her skill in combat. This is shown when she correctly deduced that Izuku Midoriya was the one who defeated Muscular and thus needed to be killed, only to be stopped by Spinner. Like many of the newer League members, she was inspired by the Hero Killer: Stain.

Like many of other members of the League of Villains, Magne looks down on society in it's current state. She appears to have experience of being bound by society and unable to pursue her desired path because of this. Thus joining the League to make a difference and be free to decide her own place. It is also revealed that she had a friend who commended her for having the bravery to take a stand.

Biography

Magne first appears in the Forest Training Camp Arc alongside Moonfish and Spinner and they join the rest of the Vanguard action squad to attack the camp. Magne later fought against the Pro Hero, Tiger during the raid and later demonstrated her powers on Izuku.

She later appears in the Hideout Raid arc where she fought against the heroes to save Bakugo. She also fought against the pro heroes but eventually lost, however she along with was rescued by All For One and she manages to escape capture.

In the Shie Hassaikai arc, Magne attacks Kai Chisaki using her Quirk after the latter revealed his intentions to try and rule over the League of Villains. Chisaki responds by activating his own power (Overhaul), obliterating the upper half of her body and killing her instantly.

Magne's death deeply affected the League, especially Twice who blamed himself for his ally's demise. She was later avenged by Tomura Shigaraki and Mr. Compress who destroyed Chisaki's arms during his prison escort.
