It looks like Magneto's real name is Max Eisenhardt, aka Eric Lehnsherr, aka Magnus. Wow, look at his record. This guy's competing with Dr. Doom for the supervillain of the century award.
~ Pepper Potts reveals Magneto's extensive criminal history to Tony and Rhodey.
You see, already they treat us like objects. As weapons. If this man comes to power, every mutant will be hunted down.
~ Magneto to Jean Grey.

Magneto also known as Max Eisenhardt is a minor antagonist in Iron Man: Armored Adventures, serving as the main antagonist of the episode "The X-Factor".

He is a mutant with the power to control magnetism who despises humans since being experimented on them his entire life.

He was voiced by Ron Halder.

History[]

Backstory[]

He was locked in a facility and experimented upon by the Weapon X Project which caused to him develop a great hatred for humans. Sometime after escaping Magneto goes on to become a mutant extremist to fight for mutant rights. His actions have made him wanted by S.H.I.E.L.D. and other government agencies. At some point, he acquired a helmet to protect him from psychic attacks.

The X-Factor[]

At one point he tried to get a mutant teenager from Colorado named Jean Grey to join his cause, but threatened her parents in doing so, forcing Jean to go on the run to protect her family. Magneto managed to track down to New York City, where she was going by the alias Annie Claremont, and he attacked anti-mutant activist Simon Trask, and encountered the superhero, Iron Man, but easily defeated him with his powers.

The next night, he finds Jean with some of her new friends, and chases after them. But when Iron Man interferes again, Magneto almost kills him, forcing Jean to try and help but fails due to the objects she attempts to throw at him being made out of metal, then he captures Jean. Magneto then brings Jean to his hideout, which is made from the same technology his helmet is made from to keep her powers in check, and makes her help him wage his war by threatening to hunt down her family starting by killing anti-mutant Senator Robert Kelly, who wants to register all mutants.

Magneto brings Jean to Senator Kelly's rally, where he attempts to force her to kill the senator by making it look like a heart attack to avoid Kelly becoming a martyr. However, Iron Man and War Machine show up, with Iron Man now equipped with a force field to protect him after discovering magneto can’t control a positively charged or negatively charged field at the same time. In midst of chaos caused by the fight, Jean manages to save Senator Kelly, which a camera crew records. After exhausting Iron Man's defenses, Magneto almost kills him, but as he takes his time to demand Iron Man, War Machine removes his helmet, allowing Jean to use her powers to send him into a deep sleep. Magneto is most likely sent to a plastic prison for his crimes.

While Magneto's attempt to kill Senator Kelly had failed, his actions managed to stop the senators campaign, as after Kelly blamed Jean for Magneto‘s attack, his supporters turned against and abandoned him.

Quotes[]

You run from the truth, girl. You know of what's to come, and yet you flee from me. Foolish.
~ Magneto boasts as he corners Jean Grey, Rhodey and Pepper.
The humans would segregate us, ostracize us, and eventually exterminate us. They destroy anyone who is different. Even amongst their own kind.
~ Magneto's take on human prejudice,
You are a clever if frustrating foe, and when I finally get to you, I'll twist you into abstract art.
~ Magneto's threat to Iron Man.
Pathetic. You really weren't much of an adversary. Lucky, yes. Crafty, perhaps. But worthy?. No.
~ Magneto's last words to Iron Man before his defeat and imprisonment.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike most versions, Magneto does not wear a cape.
  • While in most media Magneto goes by Erik Lensherr, this is one of the few incarnations to use his original from the comics, Max Eisenhardt, while Erik Lensherr is just an alias.
