Mai Trin is one of the major antagonists in Guild Wars 2 during "Living World Season 1" and some fractals.
Biography[]
She first publicly appeared in 1326 AE during the Dragon Bash festival, offering her help as a healer after a terroristic attack on the council of Lion's Arch. One of the captains, Theo Ashford, died during the attack, and Mai Trin had planned to use this opportunity to win his council seat for herself, as she was doing this on the behest of Scarlet Briar, who wanted her own insider in the council to eventually weaken the city's defenses. When it was revealed that she is the leader of the Aetherblades, a group of sky pirates, she retreated to a secret hideout above Lion's Arch. However, a group of heroes found her and she was jailed by a Lionguard inspector while her first mate Horrik was killed. She was incarcerated in Lion's Arch, however, she was soon freed and took her escape into the Mists while being pursued. She managed to get rid of her pursuers and continued to carry out the mission given to her by Scarlet herself. Even after Scarlet died, Mai Trin and most of the Aetherblades are still hiding in the Mist, presumably still working on their mission.
Appearance[]
Mai Trin is a human with short brown hair tied in a bun with fringe. When she appeared during the festival, she was wearing ordinary clothes with green, brown, and white colors. After she revealed her true nature as the leader of the Aetherblades, she changed into a uniform with some Inquest features, using the typical Aetherblade white, brown and blue colors. Her weapons of choice are swords and pistols.
